YoloinOhio Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 (edited) Mike Rodak @mikerodak 27s C.J. Spiller in process of hiring agent, will reach out to Jairus Byrd about approaching free agency: http://es.pn/1i6Hy39 His previous agent passed away in 2011. Edited April 22, 2014 by YoloinOhio
boyst Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 (edited) STFU Rodhack. Edit: I let emotions get the best of me but it's amazing that this is likely coming from the AP and Rodrak is just reciting it, or somewhere else. This story basically means nothing and if CJ Spiller leaves this team I am fine with it because replacing a RB is much easier then replacing an All-Pro safety. Edited April 22, 2014 by jboyst62
YoloinOhio Posted April 22, 2014 Author Posted April 22, 2014 Welp - "The biggest thing is, I'm here. Last year, Byrd and his situation was different and he didn't show up," Spiller said. "And it worked out in his favor. But I'm here, ready to work."
YoloinOhio Posted April 22, 2014 Author Posted April 22, 2014 (edited) If they draft Seastrunk, CJ may have some idea of what's to come. That said, he said he would love to sign a long term deal with the Bills. Not sure how true that is, but he said it. Edited April 22, 2014 by YoloinOhio
PO'14 Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Never forget, the Bills locker room is a Band of Brothers.
John from Riverside Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Protect yourself Bills.....just sayin
Best Player Available Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Spiller comments sound like maybe he was winded during the interview.
CodeMonkey Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 He almost HAS to get an agent. He has been a situational back on a crap team that hasn't exactly set the world on fire thus far in his career. But he was a #9 overall who is acknowledged by most as having significant potential. How does he know his market value without testing the waters.

Kellyto83TD Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I am telling you right now, He is trade bait come May 8th. just wait and see. I can see him packaged with another pick to move up or for say a 2nd or 3rd rounder to the right team (Raiders?)

I can see him packaged with another pick to move up or for say a 2nd or 3rd rounder to the right team (Raiders?) If they package CJ for anything less than a first rounder, that would be a disaster. Almost as big of a disaster as it was when they drafted a RB at 9 in the first place.

I can see him packaged with another pick to move up or for say a 2nd or 3rd rounder to the right team (Raiders?) CJ Spiller for a 3rd rounder huh? Why don't you look at the Bills' 3rd round draft picks from the last decade and tell me how many of them you would take over CJ Spiller. In fact, why don't you look at the entire 3rd round of any draft and tell me how many players turn out to be better pros than CJ Spiller. Did you forget that he averaged 6 yards per carry in 2012- you know, the last year he wasn't hampered by a knee injury all season? Edited April 22, 2014 by metzelaars_lives
Security Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I think he is very tradeable and Stevie as well.
Buftex Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 (edited) You think he is hiring an agent, because he feels he will likely be traded, and needs an agent to work out a long-term contract with his next team? Jeez I hope not... Agreed...you have to get more than a 3rd Rounder for Spiller. I just hope it never comes to any of this! I am hoping it is the other scenario... he is looking for an agent, because the Bills and he want to get a long term deal done. Edited April 22, 2014 by Buftex

K-9 Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 CJ just might be the player, along with two #1s and a 2nd, to make the deal with Houston. Eerily similar to the Bennett deal in '87. GO BILLS!!!

Already have McFadden and Jones-Drew.
CountryCletus Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I hated the Spiller pick when the card was turned in... Now... He has shown signs of greatness, and signs of weakness, but the last thing I wasn't to see is him in another teams jersey...
