YoloinOhio Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 HiMom. @StevieJohnson13 9m The welcome Uncle Jim got from #BillsNation at the airport, only added to the good-pressure i feel this season to stay in Buffalo Blue. Is he considering leaving? When is he a FA?
stuckinny Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 i think maybe just showing his commitment to the team. After last years "I don't work out" thing and showing a lack of commitment to the fans. Or he reads message boards and hears that fans want him out?
K D Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 He is signed until 2017 but they might ask him to restructure eventually
CountryCletus Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/stevie-johnson/ I wouldn't read too far into it...
YoloinOhio Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) I keep reading it trying to figure out if he means pressure to stay (by choice), or pressure to do well enough so that they WANT him to stay. Maybe it is the latter.. EDIT: I didn't realize he was signed all the way through 2017, thanks. For whatever reason I thought things were coming up sooner as many have wondered about keeping him. Agent 91 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 i was thinking the same thing. He probably feel the notion that most people want him used as trade bait. Or that Mike Williams may actually be coming for his job. I honestly think that he has earned a spot here and as long as he plays the way he has been. He should always have a spot.
Dorkington Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I kind of read it that he puts a lot of pressure on himself to stay in Buffalo, because he likes it a lot.

(ugh, and clicking on his profile was a reminder that eugene parker just signed his agent to his group, if you REALLY want to stir the pot) Edited April 21, 2014 by NoSaint
YoloinOhio Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 I kind of read it that he puts a lot of pressure on himself to stay in Buffalo, because he likes it a lot. Yep, I agree. He sounds like he is putting pressure on himself to have a good season. Last season, with all its ups and downs, had to really put things in a new light for him.
C.Biscuit97 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Stevie's the man. If you don't like Stevie, I don't like you.
YoloinOhio Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 Probably nothing... sorry for the extra thread. It will be merged into another thread I'm sure. I like Stevie a lot, FTR. He's not perfect, but he is really good.
John from Riverside Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 There is room for ALL of these receivers on this team....Mike Willaims is a outside WR.......Stevie is best in the slot......
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 It does go to show you, however, that players do know what we fans are up to.
YoloinOhio Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 It does go to show you, however, that players do know what we fans are up to. He gets the nastiest replies from Bills fans on the most innocent tweets. He probably reads those. I don't know why "fans" do this to players on the team they root for.

Dorkington Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I'm glad he's a Bill. Even with his faults, he's still a playmaker, and he also seems like a really good guy.
section122 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Stevie's the man. If you don't like Stevie, I don't like you. Somewhere Big Cat just got sad Stevie is a modern day Confucius Off topic I know but I laugh way to hard at those sayings.... Confucius say man who stand on toilet high on pot Confucius say man who fart in church sit in own pew Yeah I know my wife rolls her eyes at me all the time too
jumbalaya Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 At a certain point, it becomes important for players to stay with one team their whole career. Weren't able to hang on to Thurmond, Bruce and others. Steve s a good family man and good for the community. I hope he flourishes again.
Dr. Fong Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) If the Bills get Evans in the draft Stevie is going to be on the edge. Not because he's not a good receiver, but because he's the largest cap hit. Edited April 21, 2014 by Dr. Fong
