Nanker Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Idiot DB was standing on the yellow bumper. Obviously clueless and not a train rider. I hope he had to change his Fruit-of-the-Looms.
Gary M Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Idiot DB was standing on the yellow bumper. Obviously clueless and not a train rider. I hope he had to change his Fruit-of-the-Looms. Mass transit is for the unwashed masses, not guys like him!
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Mass transit is for the unwashed masses, not guys like him! im sure he has a chauffeur and limousine to take him where he wants to go
DC Tom Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 To his credit, he didn't arrange to have all rail traffic held up for the convenience of his press conference. Quite a few politicians would have done that.
KD in CA Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Boy, that almost made up for a whole year of Metro-North !@#$ ups!
Koko78 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 That is a good example of situational irony. He can always claim he made the trains run over him on time.
B-Large Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 He can always claim he made the trains run over him on time. that would be an excellent example of sheer coincidence.
DC Tom Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 that would be an excellent example of sheer coincidence. Like trains on your wedding day...
B-Large Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Like trains on your wedding day... Holy, on a role you are. I don't think one thing in that song is ironic.... But the song is about irony, is that literary irony? Or just a sad coincidence of tragic misuse if literary device meets pop music? Or just a complete misunderstanding of coincidence and happenstance?
Doc Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Holy, on a role you are. I don't think one thing in that song is ironic.... But the song is about irony, is that literary irony? Or just a sad coincidence of tragic misuse if literary device meets pop music? Or just a complete misunderstanding of coincidence and happenstance? The guy who is afraid to fly and dies on his first flight is ironic. The rest, no. And are you a fan of "Castle," by chance (or should that read "by irony"?)?
ExiledInIllinois Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Holy, on a role you are. I don't think one thing in that song is ironic.... But the song is about irony, is that literary irony? Or just a sad coincidence of tragic misuse if literary device meets pop music? Or just a complete misunderstanding of coincidence and happenstance? Isn't it ironic that everything in the song isn't ironic... Don't you think?
B-Large Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 The guy who is afraid to fly and dies on his first flight is ironic. The rest, no. And are you a fan of "Castle," by chance (or should that read "by irony"?)? Castle- we've watched a few times, like to show, just not a regular.
OCinBuffalo Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 To his credit, he didn't arrange to have all rail traffic held up for the convenience of his press conference. Quite a few politicians would have done that. Like trains on your wedding day... At least he didn't demand a free ride, when his office had already paid.
Doc Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Castle- we've watched a few times, like to show, just not a regular. I only asked because he said the same thing you did about the song.
