SJDK Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 (edited) I'm ONLY looking at the combine - not pro days where scouts' times are all over the map. http://nflcombineresults.com/playerpage.php?i=8676 http://reignoftroy.com/2013/02/24/robert-woods-nfl-combine-40-yard-dash/ http://nflcombineresults.com/playerpage.php?i=9805 The first tim I looked up Graham, it said 4.41, but i'll go with 4.34. Woods, on the other hand, ran a 4.51. There's really no argument about that. I found that time on multiple sites. Anyway, graham, may be faster, but graham sucks. And goodwin looks to be just ok, although he surely is fast. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1754280/robert-woods here http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=113995&draftyear=2013&genpos=WR http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2013/4/26/4188400/nfl-draft-2013-results-picks-robert-woods-buffalo-bills Here I matched your 3 sources, there are more but it's how I remember his numbers from the combine and with the fact that I was .01 seconds off a year later without looking... I bet on me. Edited April 19, 2014 by SJDK
billykaykay Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 The more I see and read about Donald, the more I'm becoming convinced that he will be the BPA at #9, even over Matthews. Donald is a defensive player who seemingly would have a real and tangible impact on games, while Matthews would be a very solid "role" player at RT (that's fine, but not what I'm looking for top 10). At #9 you want an impact guy IMO. I beginning to hope the Bills are considering taking Donald at #9. Yes
dubs Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Ok. Who wants to move up? And for who? And are they paying what the bills want for the pick? Classic response to the trade down post. If you don't have the entire scenario mapped out for a trade down, then you get roasted. There should be a disclaimer that when someone suggests a trade down, what they in fact mean is that Whaley and Co would love to trade back if they can find the right deal.
dave mcbride Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1754280/robert-woods here http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=113995&draftyear=2013&genpos=WR http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2013/4/26/4188400/nfl-draft-2013-results-picks-robert-woods-buffalo-bills Here I matched your 3 sources, there are more but it's how I remember his numbers from the combine and with the fact that I was .01 seconds off a year later without looking... I bet on me. Snark aside, most sites have Woods at 4.51, including bleacher report which we can't link to here ( http://bleacher report.com/articles/1544509-robert-woods-combine-evaluating-rising-draft-stock-for-usc-wr ) -- just eliminate the space between bleacher and report. More importantly, nfl.com has him at 4.51, which I'll take as definitive -- http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/robert-woods?id=2540169 .
Bronc24 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I really don't think so, it's the guys with a similar frame as Watkins that don't know when to go down that make some plays, no doubt but in the NFL, I feel like it's a recipe for an injury marked career, IMO. I think we don't need him. You are correct, but I will take 6'5" /4.5 over 6'1" /4.43 all day You mean like Marvin Harrison?
bigK14094 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 All of this discussion is interesting, but, the decision will be made only after the first 8 picks are made, either execute their draft board....or trade down if a willing partner is available. Bills did real well last year getting Kiko as an additional player, but, it might not work out that well another time. Never know.......getting another 2, however , is extremely attractive......thinking who we got in the past...Woods, glenn both excellent rnd 2 guys as well.

There should be a disclaimer that when someone suggests a trade down, what they in fact mean is that Whaley and Co would love to trade back if they can find the right deal. As far as trade partners I can see people passing on the qb with their first pick and moving up to take the QB they want. I could even see the Pats taking Manzel if he falls to to them. If they are not happy with Mallet. I think Dallas also may want to move up to get a DE/DT.
BobbyC81 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Hyde in the 1st? Are you kidding? This could (should) be another draft with no RBs taken in the 1st round.

SJDK Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 (edited) You mean like Marvin Harrison? Huh? Watkins catches at the line and plays like a running back, Harrison was a much better receiver, a whole different class. Hall of fame. Not at all like a soon to be rookie who catches screens I mean like megatron BTW (Evans) Edited April 20, 2014 by SJDK
