KD in CA
Is there something special about this kid? He's dying of cancer? Dad's in Iraq? Did I miss something or is this kinda odd?

nodnarb
no matter what mawkish story might be behind it, that was bloody awful.

Mark Vader
nodnarb Posted Today, 03:05 PM QUOTE(MarkVaderr50 @ Jan 23 2005, 03:05 PM) What difference does it make? He did a good enough job. let's leave the songs to the singers. I can understand that. But be careful, if you look at who some of these producers think can actually sing, then I feel safer with a civilian.

UConn James
Yet another example of why it needs to be sung in the Key of G. Fully 96 percent of people just can't get their voices to hit those high notes. At least he didn't have all that fluff, draw-out stutter-style crap that most 'singers' now use. I hate that. It was meant to be a simple anthem.
Fezmid
I think he was blind 215333 Yes, he was blind. I did a search for him, and he was born after 26 weeks and weighed a little over a pound (!). That said, I still don't understand why he sang the anthem... http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=timmy...G=Google+Search CW

Fezmid
I didn't see it, did the Philly fans do their typical boo? 215345 No, they were very respectful. Started singing when the kid stumbled. It was quite amazing, really. CW
UConn James
Make-a-Wish? I don't see what the complaining is about. If it were Alicia Keys singing that badly and you were paying her to do so, you'd have bitching rights, but this sounds like another one of our sorry-ass little First World problems. Dan Gross
As far as I've been able to discern, he did the National Anthem last week as well, and did "God Bless America" at last year's Championship game... Looks like something of a "Philly icon." Braille award winner in 2004 for his achievements.
