Bills Fan since '64 Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 if ever there was a guy who needs a knickname it's this guy. I remember when Joe Montana came up, some radio station in SF had a contest to pick a nickname for him. The winner was Joe "Big Sky" Montana. But the best entry was from a guy who wrote "If your name is Joe Montana, you don't need a nickname, you need a REAL name. I propose Barry Miller."

His teammates called him Joe Montanalow because he looked so much like Barry Manilow.
