RIP. A man of great onscreen prescense. So many wonderful movies I remember him being in, the last one I recall being the Black Stallion. He was in a memorable twilight zone episode as well.

SFgate.com, the online version of the SF Chronicle ran a slide show last week in honor of Doris Day's 90th of very old celebrities many of them in their 90's. In the comments section someone wrote they hate it whenever they run those because someone always dies shortly thereafter. How right they were

Terribly sad to read this. On one hand you have to believe it's unfortunate to hear he died penniless. On the other hand, some would call that good timing.

 

Based on what I've read about his family, I'm pretty happy none of them will see another dime from him.

Somehow I'm not surprised a ridiculously famous movie star who married eight times ended up penniless and living in a guest room in his stepson's house.
