This is not true. Dr. Jerry Buss was the finest owner in the history of team sports -- he transcended the Lakers. His daughter (Jeannie )and son (Jim) who run the team now along with their four siblings are very well known in LA. It helps if you know what it is you are talking about before speaking sometimes.

Shaddap. This one is already over, and you missed it.

This entire point was a means to an end. The end has been achieved, and I still don't care who the Lakers owner is(of course I know, I am not a moron).

I'm sure a lot of people in LA know who Jerry Buss is and I'm certain there are some who are a little perturbed with his kids. Thanks Captain O. The interesting thing here is: that point went right by everybody....but you. Indicative? In a flash poll sorta way? Who knows?

In all cases, we can do a lot worse than Donald Trump as the owner of this team...and, for the Captain Os here: of course we can do a lot better! :wallbash:

No, how could I forget your antics?

Then you should have seen the huge net I threw out. You know, the one that has "hack catcher" written on it?

But you didn't.

See? Trump gets more quality minutes in Buffalo. Period.

I think we both understand each other. We just disagree.

You think being "the man" in a small place like Buffalo would have a lot of meaning to a person like Trump and I don't think that would matter much to him at all if he had the opportunity to become (not instantly, but build it over some time) "the man" in a larger more important market. Basically using your terminology, the minutes in Buffalo have far less quality than the minutes in a larger market.

Agree to disagree.

Just a random thought that may or may not have been mentioned regarding Trump....we know that he is interested and we know that NF is a realistic possibility for a stadium site. You don't suspect that Trump would have an interest in developing that area do you (sarcasm font)?

if the jacobs are out, as the latest news says, trump sounds better than bon jovi, not as good as pegula or the rich's.. but like i have posted on here, would be willing to hear him out.

Lol. this is great....Bills fans getting behind Trump to take out the evil Bon Jovi. The Donald has to enjoy this.

Agreed :) But at the end of the day, Bills fans will support the person most likely to keep the Bills in Buffalo. There is some chance Trump would. Almost none Bon Jovi would.

According to Forbes, Golisano is worth 1.3 Billion, Bob Rich 1.8 Billion...though, I have to tell you, these numbers can vary a great deal from year to year...

There is also a lot of guesswork involved in these numbers. While it easy to determine the value of stock held in publicly traded company, it's much harder when dealing investments in private companies that don't have the same reporting requirements.

@ByTimGraham: Donald Trump has been in contact with Bills multiple times already and tells me he'll sell casino interests if he can buy team. More to come

Id be awfully concerned about the buffalo wind flopping around the Donald's hair

Haha - he'll have to back out of the deal if they build the stadium downtown!

I have said it before, I dont care who owns the BIlls as long as they stay in Buffalo

CBF

I agree with you...but let me say this, RW was an incredible owner on so many levels and yet, he was routinely flamed on this board for being "cheap" and a "has been" owner...yet, his foresight in the current CBA gets pushed under the carpert and despite the many laymen's opinions of the current state of the BILLS, he did a lot to help insure the BILLS stay in WNY and yet, he is still ridiculed in this forum....so, while I would support any owner who keeps the BILLS in Buffalo / WNY, there should be some qualification with that statement, that I do NOT want to listen to more belly-aching about how bad the new owner is / might be if he / she makes decisions contrary to what the majority of the board believes *should* happen...I would just be happy for them to stay in Buffalo and hope they keep the current hierarchy and build a consistent winner.....
