Buftex Posted April 7, 2014 Share Posted April 7, 2014 (edited) Heard Rick on the John Murphy show, right after Ralph Wilson passed away. It was a great interview. Pretty interesting guy. Although he was only the Bills color guy for about 7 seasons, growing up in Buffalo (born in 1965, moved away in 1988), he is the media name I most associate with the Bills, for some reason, and just Buffalo sports in genral. Funny thing is, all the years Van Miller did the games, I really most associate him with the Buffalo Braves games. Of course, I appreciate Van more, now, in retrospect. Can't wait to read the Rick Azar book. He has an interesting story, it sounds like, even beyond sports. He grew up in Brooklyn (or was it Queens?) and moved to Buffalo back in the days when Buffalo was still a "big city" on the national radar... Thanks for the links! Will give these a listen later!
