John from Riverside Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I personally have no doubt that he is a very good receiver.... I really feel that he is not the TYPE of receiver we need.....we already have one of those in Goodwin. I want a clydesdale with a huge wingspan that can catch everything close to him and outmuscule defensive backs
Maury Ballstein Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I want a clydesdale with a huge wingspan Clyde Gates is available I think.
YoloinOhio Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 4m DeSean Jackson’s contract is a 4-year, $32M deal that voids to 3 years, $24M. $5M signing bonus. $8M avg per year. $4.25M ’14 cap number.
Kirby Jackson Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 My thought for the Bills offer would be something like 4 years $32M with $24M guaranteed with a strong morality clause that allows the Bills to recuperate some/all of the guaranteed money if he violates it. I should have went to Vegas.

NoSaint Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 http://deadspin.com/report-the-eagles-seriously-hated-desean-jackson-1558398019 "That's [Kelly's] way. It pisses me off that [Kelly] comes off looking like the bad guy here. It wasn't just [Kelly] that wanted him gone. [Kelly] got a lot of feedback from guys that felt we were better off without [Jackson], too. [Kelly] is very much a player's coach. His office is open to anyone. Now [Jackson] is the Redskins' problem. We have something good going here and it's going to get better without [Jackson]. He had to go." "Funny how [Jackson] has this anti-bully thing and he thought he could push [Kelly] around; he found out otherwise. His being cut had nothing to do with the gang stuff. The team knew it. Everyone knew he had 'ties.' Those were his guys. That's okay. What put him out was his selfishness. He can try and spin it all he wants how he's 'a team player.' He's not. I'll put it this way, when it came out last Friday that [Jackson] was released, more than a few guys were happy it happened. They said 'good riddance.' He had no real connection with anyone."
SmokinES3 Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 That interview was a joke... His attire? Are we really expected to be that gullible? He straight up lied about the gang signs... and he's far from a good liar, at least on TV.
Mr. WEO Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 (edited) http://deadspin.com/...kson-1558398019 Is there a more hated team mate in the NFL? The NFLPA is a joke. That interview was a joke... ALF Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 This looks like the real reason he was cut http://nfl.si.com/2014/04/04/desean-jackson-chip-kelly-philadelphia-eagles-locker-room/?sct=obnetwork

YoloinOhio Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Misses first week of practice with Washington, vacation is more important http://www.cbssports...season-workouts I'm shocked DJ's attitude + RG3 and his whining/branding/etc.+ DC media.... they better win. Blech.
Mr. WEO Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Misses first week of practice with Washington, vacation is more important http://www.cbssports...season-workouts It's not really practice---it's an extra week of volunatry workoutst that only teams with new coaches get. If you read the article, you would see that he made plans before Philly dumped him. This is no big deal. Hard to imagine that a vet like Jackson will learn much in an extra week with Gruden.
BigBuff423 Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 It's not really practice---it's an extra week of volunatry workoutst that only teams with new coaches get. If you read the article, you would see that he made plans before Philly dumped him. This is no big deal. Hard to imagine that a vet like Jackson will learn much in an extra week with Gruden. I'm not really sure that's the point, IMO...can't argue that he wouldn't learn much in technique, but given his change of venue and the new Offense, I would think a teammate would WANT to be at every meeting and practice possible to ingratiate himself to the staff but more importantly, be as learned about the new offense as possible....I know he may have already scheduled the vacation, but sh*t happens and as a very well paid athlete sometimes you just need to adjust your plans to that of the team....and I'm not holding him to any different standard I would if it were here in Buffalo, voluntary or not, every member of that team needs to be taking advantage of every opportunity they can get to learn a system, get ready for the season, and begin building chemistry through the locker room and given Washington's abysmal season, I don't think it's asking too much...to me at least.
