BB27 Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Here in Boston (actually Cambridge/Arlington Line) I was just out shovelling, and I would put it at 8" right now. With the forcast for more snow all night, we are going to get a huge amount! Growing up in Buffalo has one advantage, I love this weather!!
theNose76 Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Henrietta - south suburb of Rochester - 8-10"
spidey Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Henrietta - south suburb of Rochester - 8-10" 214920 Raleigh, NC 1 inch on wed and forced major gridlock, folks spent 11 hours or more in cars stuck in traffic. Can a car really run for 11 hours without running out of gas even if you are just idling all the time? Today a thin sheet of ice and many more accidents again.
Albany,n.y. Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Last I heard we're supposed to get around 1 foot. I'm not going out until it stops. I've got the snowblower right by the garage door so I'll be plowing my driveway when it's over.
wwovince Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 I dont know how much here in springfield,MA yet. But i know we are right in middle of purple and calling for 14-24 by tomorrow afternoon. Man I LOVE THE SNOW!!
sfladave Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Here in Deerfield Beach it still hasn't started snowing. I gassed up the snowblower though, just in case.

stevestojan Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Tomorrow night, it's supposed to get down to 34... Wouldn't that be some sh-- if i got some snow!

Just heard the 1 inch thing and laughed.
IDBillzFan Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Southern California. No snow. Yesterday was in the 80s. Back to your shovels.
Hammered a Lot Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Southern California. No snow. Yesterday was in the 80s. Back to your shovels. 8-10 inches of fluff YAWN
rockpile Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Haha Schopp was talking about that on the show yesterday, didnt realize it was ice too. Just heard the 1 inch thing and laughed. 214930 Only shoveled twice today so far (Rochester/Irondequoit). Looking outside right now, it looks like fog, but it is snow. That is a whiteout, for those who have never seen one. Looks like about a foot or more has fallen today. Tomorrow morning I am going to shovel, then strap on the cross country skis in the garage and "stroll" through the neighborhood. Hell, HERE it is WNY and winter. Ten degrees. Love it or leave it.
TigerJ Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Maybe 8 inches. Still snowing. Might be some lake effect now. The winds have switched over to the "lake effect direction" (anything from westerly to north northwesterly).
gmac17 Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 8" Hoboken, NJ and they won't shut up about the Blizzard. The bad stuff is supposed to start in a few hours, but I'll believe it when I see it.

eSJayDee Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Just out shoveling for the 3rd time. I'd say total we've got a foot, maybe 14" so far. (I'm just south of Albany.)
