KGUNBILLS Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I think they can tackle them by the hair can't they? It seems like someone did it in a superbowl.
oman128 Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 I'm not saying everyone needs the Johnny Unitas crew cut. But I think there should be limits during the season is all I'm saying.
Dennis in NC Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 My high school should have a haircut rule. Make sure nobody wears those darned Beatle haircuts! Â Oh wait a minute...
PO'14 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Im pretty sure Carpenter's hair is real. Im not sure about Gilmore, Robey and Spikes. At least my favorite Bills player realized how stupid it looks to have dreads. https://www.google.com/search?q=stevie+johnson&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=CzM2U9PDC-Xj0QGV44DgDw&sqi=2&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAg&biw=1366&bih=651#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=sWFjpRDuPcH-6M%253A%3BETZbTHAz_sjFgM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fblog.kentuckysportsradio.com%252Fwp-content%252Fuploads%252F%252F2007%252F09%252F127-0919d1sjohnsonembeddedprod_affiliate79.jpeg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fkentuckysportsradio.com%252F1%252Fstevie-may-be-getting-a-little-loose%252F%3B290%3B384
Pills -N- Bills Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Should the NFL, institute a hair length rule? Â Players like Clay Matthews, Troy Polamalu and Richard Sherman would all be effected. Â Call me old fashioned, but NFL players shouldn't need to wear their hair past their shoulders during the season. Â If your hair covers your nametag my high school coach would say it's too long. Â Its also a safety issue. Players can't grab the Jersey, but they can yank your hair, like we did in grade school. Who are u to say someone shouldn't need to wear their hair past a certain length?? Seriously??
BuffaloFan68 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I think it should be up to the individual teams to keep their players looking professional. If a player does have long hair then it should be fair game to tackle them with it. I remember a few years back a player made an interception (I think it was Troy Polyamu - or how ever you spell it from Pittsburg)and when he was tackled by his hair - the refs tacked on a 15 yard penalty. That is just so WRONG.
Big Gun Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Way to much look at me going on as it is. It a safety issue where a player need have hair cut or in net that it can be placed fully under helmet. These people occupy a privileged position and should look and behave like it. Â This I agree with, but I couldn't care how long they grow their hair. Â Also as far as the black guys having the long dreads or whatever they call it, with the black visor, I can't help but think they are trying to look like Predator from the movies.
machine gun kelly Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I think they should be required to put it inside their helmet. Owners like Steinbrenner had his own appearance rules when alive. Â Besides they are dumb to leave it out. They could hurt their neck if a tackler pulls them down by it.
oman128 Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 Â Who are u to say someone shouldn't need to wear their hair past a certain length?? Seriously?? Â I'm me and I'm entitled to my opinion. Â You don't have to like it or agree with it, we can agree to disagree.

BackInDaDay Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) Ha - my first thought was "only North Korea should have a haircut rule" Â ESPN, N.Korea.. Â "in first game as player in capitalist american footballing league, supreme leader ran with ball 800 meters; threw ball 1000 meters; touched down the ball 100 times and accumulated insurmountable amounts of scoring points. the divine one is now accepted as fiercest ever playing man for yellow dog, yankee cowards." DOGNESS Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 (edited) They should be forced to eat their green beans and squash also or they don't get to play on Sunday. Did I ever tell anyone how I used to have to walk eight miles a day to school(one way) in a blinding snow storm? Uphill both ways! 365 days per year! Edited March 30, 2014 by DOGNESS

missthe kgun Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Are we seriously discussing how someone should be able to grow their hair? Get out of here! It's their hair, who the heck cares how they grow it as long as they can play football which by the way is what they are paid to do!
