FireChan Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I'm guessing the same as he did when he threw 31 TDs to 4 ints last season in real game action. Can you name one starting NFL QB who had a bad pro day?
26CornerBlitz Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 (edited) Can you name one starting NFL QB who had a bad pro day? WGAS? @RapSheet #Browns weren’t at Johnny Football’s Pro Day. I told GM Ray Farmer I do not understand how they approach pro days. He genuinely enjoyed that Edited March 27, 2014 by 26CornerBlitz

He genuinely enjoyed that Well maybe in front of all the FO guys he got nervous and messed up. That's not a guy who I'd want leading a GW drive. Panicking and bombing on a big day is not a good look for a prospect and that's not up for debate. I doubt many GM's have a WGAS attitude when it comes to their first round pick. If Johnny bombed, you'd probably say it proves he's not NFL QB material, right? Edited March 27, 2014 by FireChan
major Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I hate texas a&m, but I'm positive Johnny football can win in the nfl. Some team is going to get a steal by drafting him
thewildrabbit Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Nobody really knows what will happen in the draft except the teams doing the drafting. My speculation is since the kid is determined to be a winner, and can make plays almost on his own. That some team will grab him in the top 8 spots, and I gotta wonder if Nix were still in charge, is he would draft the guy should he fall to #9. Gonna be a very interesting draft this year, as so much talent, and so deep in WR, OT, and even QB.

Doesn't mean Jack #### IMO

papazoid Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Johnny Manziel sits down with Mike Mayock, Kurt Warner and Paul Burmeister to discuss his pro day performance and explains why off the field issues should not be a concern for NFL teams. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-path-to-the-draft/0ap2000000337474/Final-takeaways-from-Manziel-s-pro-day

You citing Bridgewater's "bad" pro day or Manziel's "great" pro day are irrelevant wrt what kind of NFL QB either of them will be.

I can cite good and bad QB's with good Pro Days. Can you cite any NFL QB's who were good with bad Pro Days?

FireChan Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 off hand i cant think of many qbs that have had "bad" pro days and have no idea how youd track down that kind of info.... Exactly! How anyone can say "who cares" when it's virtually UNHEARD of for NFL prospects blows my mind.
thewildrabbit Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 This kid isn't JaMarcus, as he doesn't have addictions or red flags afaik. With Russell it was all about his arm, and arms alone don't win games. It takes hard work, guts, and determination along with talent. All of which Johnny football has, and is the real deal IMO.

How anyone can say "who cares" when it's virtually UNHEARD of for NFL prospects blows my mind. to be fair, if you asked me in 6 months i wouldnt rattle off bridgewaters name either. its both a matter of opinion and virtually undocumented. im going out on a limb and guessing that some commentator once upon a time said that a good qb had a lackluster pro day.... but what would that even really accomplish by finding?
FireChan Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I'm not looking. If you were, you'd be at it all night. Because it doesn't happen.

Buffalo Barbarian Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 30 for 30 in pads. When asked why he was wearing pads and helmet, Johnny said, "isn't that how the game is played?" Friggin love this guy, who else has the balls to do that ... um nobody. Guy is a total leader, just before he starts he tells everbody what he is about to do and everyone automatically circles around like sheep to listen to the MAN!
26CornerBlitz Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 If you were, you'd be at it all night. Because it doesn't happen. You want to be right about irrelevant QB pro days....All yours. Take it, scream out loud, beat your chest, declare victory, and run with it.
