Draconator Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 I am somewhat considering getting a new satellite dish, but I don't want Direct TV. I like watching newscasts from other markets, and basically select what I would like to watch, not choosing what some package offers. I watched a Bills game off of Satellite about 12 years ago, and Dan Dierdorf was drunk off his ass! It was hilarious. Anyone have any ideas? Tips? etc.
Corp000085 Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 that's blasphemy on this board! (i have directv and refuse to even research other options.)

Wild feeds, naked ladies, Al Goldstein's Screw Magazine show (later 80's), etc. Porno (XXXctasy), HBO, led the change (scrambling along with the videocipher from MA Comm - sold to GI).... Alas, those days were glorious but unfortunately are now only a distant memory. (drawback - large and expensive equipment required).
meazza Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 i live in canada but i used to have direct tv until they changed the cards, now i use bell expressvu they offer Toronto channels whcih allows me to watch buffalo bills games, i mean even the sports bars all they show is the patriots games im fed up
Fezmid Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 Your two choices are basically DirecTV or Dish. DirecTV has better hardware, better quality, better customer service. Dish is cheaper (by around $10/month I think). Both are good solutions. CW

Great price, they have never raised my rates and lose reception very rarely.
Fan in San Diego Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 If you want the NFL games then you have to get DirectTV. I've seen the Dish network and it sucks. DirectTV is better all the way around.
