H2o Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Rookie year vs. Iggles. Uhhhh, no. He was never a Pats* member
sodbuster Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 (edited) He does? I thought he has only played for Chiefs and the Vikings? he has. He is confusing wilfork and Allen I think. Wrong thread, brother. Edited March 16, 2014 by sodbuster
Max997 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 (edited) Rookie year vs. Iggles. Do you think you are in the Wilfork thread? Am I in the Wilfork thread thinking im in the Jared Allen thread? Edited March 16, 2014 by Max997
YoloinOhio Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 He does? I thought he has only played for Chiefs and the Vikings? LOL - thought I was responding to Wilfork thread. Same question over there. No, Allen obviously doesn't have a ring. Do you think you are in the Wilfork thread? Am I in the Wilfork thread thinking in in the Jared Alken thread? NO - I am in the Allen thread thinking I am in the Wilfork thread

YoloinOhio Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Uhhhh, no. He was never a Pats* member I was just in the wrong thread. Believe it or not, I am only drinking coffee. I was like, what am I missing here? lol.
bills1960 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 No thanks but I do want a run stopping DE either in FA or the draft. Hughes is not a three down player. He's an awesome pass rush specialist but when teams are trying to run the ball down our throats I don't think he'll cut it.

sodbuster Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I was just in the wrong thread. Believe it or not, I am only drinking coffee. I was like, what am I missing here? lol. free agency is a very beautiful, yet confusing time in a boy's life.

Your confidence in ur posts though had me thinking what am I missing here I think I need to start drinking I was thinking the same thing - like, of course he was on that team, wasn't he? Even googled it just to be sure. I need a nap. I agree that all these posts about FAs are running together!
KRT88 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Nope. He wants to get paid. He already has the SB ring. I am sure it is mostly $ with this last contract. No SB ring in Jared Allen's collection, and he's been paid big time throughout his career. I bet he'd like the ring.
H2o Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 No SB ring in Jared Allen's collection, and he's been paid big time throughout his career. I bet he'd like the ring. Apparently he wants both. "If the top tier teams won't give me what I'm worth then I will retire." signed - Jared Allen.........

machine gun kelly Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I was reading the FA available list and I was thinking that for this year we could sign Kevin Williams just to rush the passer. He's 35 years old but I believe he could contribute if we keep him fresh. Only if we make Daeus legally change his name to Williams. Then we'll have the Williams wall. :-) I seriously doubt it all kidding aside. Way too old. We need guys in their 20's with talent. If you were building a team, and you've missed the playoffs for going on 15 years, you want players with longevity. When you're the Patriots and you are continuously 12-4, you can take fliers on older guys to plug holes. That's not us. The good news for us is Mario is basically taking up our QB $, and if EJ is our guy, he will be reasonable for at least three years. By them Mario's talent will eventually go down, and either we cut him or he takes a much lower contract.

I don't want him playing many snaps, I want him to rush the passer.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I know he's aging and wants big money. But he's averaged 14.5 sacks over 7 years and i think he's worth a shot opposite Mario. And we do have money to spend. Why not?! sure , why not.
JPS Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 If he was the last link needed for a big playoff run I would say Hell yeah. But we're not that team yet. Better to build with the draft or younger FA's. Pass. Tempting though, isn't it?
Green Lightning Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Tempting though, isn't it? Allen - Dareus and the Williams boys.....yeah it sure is tempting.
Maury Ballstein Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 jason lacanfora is yapping about seahawks being in mix for allen.
