I like any one of the 3 OT that should be there, Tiny Richardson (Ideal RT, IMO), Moses Morgan or Alabama's

I am not saying he is the right pick for the Bills, but I will tell you this. I saw RaShede Hageman numerous times this year and the guy is a beast. I see him in rd 2 in most mocks and he is going to be a great pick for someone.

Just about every big board I respect has Hageman in the 25-35 area...I think he would be quite a steal at 41...I doubt he'll make it that far though...

Argh! It's like chasing your tail until we know what their intentions are at 9. Since astro is assuming Evans I'll have to say Gabe Jackson. I think the first two picks are going offense for sure, one skilled one line. Wonder if Jackson could be Urbiks competition instead of Williams' .

Despite resigning Chandler (only two years) I think Whaley goes TE. Although they made it seem they are satisfied at that position, there are some athletes you cannot ignore.

I watched 3 Mike Evans games last night and can’t say he’s great. Here is a case where the #3 OT Lewan trumps the #2 WR Evans. I watched 2 Ebron games and an interview, and he tries hard, made a few ESPN-highlight catches, dropped a couple, Renner missed him a few times, has a dynamite over-the-middle route that could be described as a middle screen, and went up high to bring in a couple. Overall, he's above Evans for me.

 

On the simulator if you put Safety as the P1 need, it gives us Clinton-Dix, not Pryor. Hmmmm….

 

I am ecstatic for two things. One, they signed Spikes, as we needed a thumper ILB to defend the run, and Spikes was #1 ILB against the run last year. Two, they signed Spikes to a ONE year contract. That signals they will be looking in 2 drafts (2014, 2015) and FA for a speedier version of Spikes.

 

I hope I grow to love Dixon. I wanted Andre Williams, Carlos Hyde (RD3), or Terrence West (RD6-7). Now it looks more like West or Wilder in 7-UDFA.

I agree on Borland. Would be nice to have a young kid to plug in when Spikes falls victim to the Bills' preseason injury curse or if he jets out after year one. MLB is heart of the defensive unit and Borland is almost as rabid of a player as Kiko.

 

I agree on having someone to back Spikes up.

 

My pick would be Max Bullough- I have some concerns with Borland's size, but then again, I had concerns with Kikos size too..

I'm big on Ebron but I'm worried the Falcons take him at #6. If they don't, IMO he's the Bills' final piece to get EJ, the offense and this team up off the mat and into the playoffs.

 

As for the second round pick, I think there will be a player there that people were shocked to see available. I don't know what position they play, but that's the guy you draft.

What specifically didn't you like about Evans? Big, strong, fast, that catches the ball at the High point? Very consistent and productive over his multi-year college career.

 

The 2014 draft is a draft where the perfect jigsaw piece might fall to the Bills at the right time. Evans.

 

Yes the Bills need a RT. Why would you spend a #9 overall on a RT when you spent the #41 on a left tackle. It just doesn't seem like the Bills will make that move.

 

The need for a safety is extremely exaggerated and an emotional knee jerk reaction to Byrd walking away. Most teams can't spell the name of their Free Safety. With this team I'm guessing it will be spelled Williams in September. It's definitely not a P1 need. I don't see the Bills going defense either.

 

Ebron is not an extremely athletic freak of nature. ASJ is basically the same and may be better.

 

To take a TE at #9 IMO they would have to blow Vernon Davis' numbers up in the combine to even be considered that high. His numbers aren't that close and their definitely not over Davis' numbers.

Ebron looks like a slightly smaller Jermaine Gresham to me. Again I just don't see the Bills FO making that pick.

I doubt an NFL franchise has Ebron that high.

My view on Evans is jaded bc i wtched a bunch of his games in 2012 and only about 2 games last season. When i watched him in '12 he was still extremely young and raw - talented but certainly not overly impressive. I think he greatly improved this season with his route running. His hands to me are still a bit of a question mark - if hes going to be our "elite" #1 he has to have elite hands.

 

At 9, i would not be upset if we went w evans due to his combo of size and speed.

 

Unless the bills really screw us this season, i feel ill be satisfied w our first pick. I see either Ebron, Evans or a trade down to get a RT and an extra 2nd rounder.

Evans seems to be exactly what they need, and on top of that would be able to be fit into very important down and distances (red zone) where Bills struggled with a 6'7" TE. Adding a 6'5 WR to that can only help, especially a jump ball specialist.

 

For round 2, Crichton, ASJ or Tiny Richardson would fit the Bill(s)
