Rubes Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 ProFootballTalk Expect Ryan Fitzpatrick to be cut soon by the Titans; he's due to earn a $500K roster bonus in the next day or so. 3/13/14, 3:29 PM
Charles Romes Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 If you like exciting losses more than boring losses Fitz is your guy.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I do like Fitz a lot as a person. And I always thought that if he had been willing to take a pay cut, he would have been good backup and a mentor for whoever we intended to draft. I highly doubt it, since he would probably have some hard feelings, and there is a great deal of dead cap money this year with his name on it.
Utah John Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Look, the way EJ gets hurt, the Bills backup will be the Bills starter a lot. Are we ready to go back to the future, with Fitz handing off to Spiller or passing to Stevie or Chandler? The only difference is everyone is two years older and the O-line is much worse.
oman128 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 (edited) the bills I believe are still paying him for not playing for them so if they re sign him they have to pay him more? he probably be the only player in the NFL to get more money for not playing for a team then he does playing for the same team. Only in Buffalo. Edited March 13, 2014 by oman128
Green Lightning Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 He'd be a perfect backup. It would be a good signing.
BuffaloPride Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 He does get rid of the ball quick. Problem is it usually ends up in the hands of an opposing defender.
snamsnoops Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I would take Fitz back! He would be a good back up, and he likes the area. Not to sure what he thinks of the organization though!
chris heff Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I agree he is the perfect choice, I just think it is too soon.
K D Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Fitz should go to Dallas and back up Romo. Those 2 guys are the most inconsistent QB's I've ever seen. One second they are amazing the next you are questioning if they will ever win a game again. Nice guy but I don't want him on our team
RuntheDamnBall Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I'd take it too. But he's not coming back. Why not? His starting days are over and he can hold things together and run the offense if needed.
fansince88 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 (edited) while you are at it please smash my head with a hammer.....cant we just move on!!!!! Edited March 13, 2014 by fansince88
Tipster19 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Sorry, I'm out on old Fitzy. One thing about a cut, it heals and stops bleeding. If I'm going to bleed I'd rather have a new cut because opening an old wound just leaves a bigger and uglier scar. I guess it's like what they say what the definition of insanity is. There's a reason why the Titans don't want him. We should know better than anyone else, the guy has been on what, 4 teams now? This organization desperately needs to keep on moving forward.
Rocky Landing Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I would be all for it. But, I'm usually wrong about these things.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Fitz's problem is he always ends up starting somehow, plays just well enough to make you think he might make it someday then grows so irratic it's crazy.
