Jim in Anchorage Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Who says people don't use an AR-15 to hunt? I want the baby back ribs please.... ..308 is a AR 10. And a pig that big is nasty food wise.
dib Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 It's big, it's magnificent, it's a survivor. It could produce boars possibly it's own size. Let's kill it.

Zona Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 ..308 is a AR 10. And a pig that big is nasty food wise. I got to fire a .308 AR 10 then one time at the local range. A guy had one in there and he let me shoot about 6-8 rounds through it. Awesome weapon. Love to pick one up....
Garion Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I had done some reading a few years ago about wild pigs the last time this kind of picture showed up in my browser. Google monster pig or hogzilla and there are reports some pigs in the US have been in the 800-1000 lb range. I have heard not good eating from others as well when they get this big. But damn man I still would like to fry up some ham steaks from something like that.
Nanker Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 ..308 is a AR 10. And a pig that big is nasty food wise. Jim, wasn't it you who posted Flintknocker's post in a hunting site sometime last year? That was a fantastic read, and he had plenty of photos and stories about the feral pigs in East Texas. It's quite a problem in much of the South.
