stony Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I remember watching NFL Films or some Mic'd Up segment and saw Wilfork absolutely lay out Levitre in the open field. He was so much bigger than him and the funny thing was, it was Levitre who went for the hit and ended up on the turf. Big dude.
billieve420 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 As long as it is a short term deal 1-2 yrs pay the man would be huge boost to this defense.
Peter Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I still miss Pat Williams, Sam Adams, and Ted Washington.
CSBill Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 VW a Buffalo Bill = Fantasy Football The Pats will not let him walk, there's a reason they go to the play-offs every year, and, well, we don't

BuffaloPride Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I would rather sign Julius Peppers. Then we could rotate Branch in at DT.
Utah John Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Signing him is a big plus for us and a bigger minus for NE. He will make the already-good Bills D-line better and his departure will make the otherwise-weak NE line much weaker.
3rdand12 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 He could just stand there and we would be better against the run . Peter... i also miss those chunky kids of yore that swallowed centers whole !
BUFFALOTONE Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I have it on good authority that his wife loves wings ha ha. That's the post of the week!
Not at the table Karlos Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 If they can't get Vince, I am sure that Bianca Wilfork could hold up at the line of scrimmage and keep blockers off of the LBs. damn it. You beat me to it.
billsfan89 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Be interesting to see him on the Bills. We run 3 deep at DT already but we could use the upgrade in run D. Very interesting to see. Although I do hate the guy and will be glad to not see him in a Pats* uni.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 (edited) Authority?? All you need to do is see a picture of her to know she likes wings and anything else you can eat. She'd do a decent job at NT herself! I have it on good authority that his wife loves wings Edited March 13, 2014 by Ed_Formerly_of_Roch
Beerball Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 As long as it is a short term deal 1-2 yrs pay the man would be huge boost to this defense. I'd offer 3, maybe even 4 if that's what it took. The nice thing about NFL contracts is that you can lop off a year with no issues. Move Dareus outside and you've got a pretty nice line. (assuming Dareus is in decent shape)
Georgia Bill Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I still miss Pat Williams, Sam Adams, and Ted Washington. Me too. Nothing like some serious beef to plug up the middle. Our run D has been so weak I've really been hoping that we'd get someone along those lines. Now it's possible that Wilfork could be available. Sign him! Young and speedy doesn't seem to cut if for run stuffing.
BUFFALOTONE Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Authority?? All you need to do is see a picture of her to know she likes wings and anything else you can eat. She'd do a decent job at NT herself! I think you missed the joke Ed.
Mr. WEO Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I'm for it but he's leaving NE because he wants more money, thus he isn't coming cheap. Not sure how I feel about forking over a ton of money to someone of his age and injury history. He doesn't want more money. He just doesn't want less money in the last year of his contract. The pats want him to take a haircut on his last year. hes turning 33, 350lbs and coming off an achilles injury (which often takes two years to actually come back from even if he can play in 2013)..... and is scheduled to get 8m in the final year of his contract. he might get released. I think NoSaint is right. If he won't take a cut (and it's easy to understand why the pats are targeting him), they may look to see what he brings in trade. But I think teams will be wary of giving anything for an injured guy at the end of his career--especially if they are all assuming he will be cut.
Fingon Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Go for a LB instead. We are deep enough at DT, and Wilfork is a monumental risk. He wasn't playing near his old form before he got injured, and an Achilles tear is some scary stuff.
FluffHead Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Authority?? All you need to do is see a picture of her to know she likes wings and anything else you can eat. She'd do a decent job at NT herself! Exactly
oman128 Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) okay so wilfork collapsess the pocket and sacks Tom Brady. He clogs the middle for 2 years and he also bring some championship, leadership and some winning Bravado to Buffalo. His wife would win Miss Lackawanna crown. Fred Smerlas comes in 2nd.
