BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 (edited) Since we got our standard "ZOMG, THE BILLZ HAS DUN NOTHING!!1!!1one SUXORZ!" first night of free agency out of the way, I thought it would be helpful to post a list of what free agents are left on the market. I tried to use "Bills thinking" on this list (which was borrowed from Rotoworld's rankings) in regards to the players I listed. What I mean by that is the Bills seem to favor under-30 free agents who have a bit of versatility to their game. Just by doing a quick once over, I feel that our upgrades at OT and TE may have to come via the Draft as the pickings are somewhat slim. Still extremely deep free agent classes in the WR and Secondary departments though. Enjoy! **Updated 3/13** QBs --- 1. Michael Vick 2. Josh Freeman 3. Jason Campbell 4. Brandon Weeden 5. Colt McCoy WRs --- 1. Hakeem Nicks 2. James Jones 3. Sidney Rice 4. Jacoby Jones 5. Brandon LaFell 6. Kenny Britt 7. Miles Austin 8. Damian Williams 9. Jerome Simpson 10. Austin Collie TEs --- 1. Jermichael Finley (Visiting Seahawks) 2. Brandon Pettigrew 3. Garrett Graham 4. Andrew Quarless 5. Ed Dickson OTs --- 1. Anthony Collins 2. Michael Oher 3. Charles Brown 4. Ryan Harris 5. Eben Britton OGs --- 1. Willie Colon 2. Uche Nwaneri 3. Davin Joseph 4. Evan Dietrick-Smith 5. Shelley Smith ILBs ---- 1. Brandon Spikes 2. Wesley Woodyard 3. Kavell Conner 4. Jameel McClain 5. Pat Angerer Safety ------ 1. Chris Clemons 2. Nate Allen 3. Major Wright 4. Thomas DeCoud 5. Pat Chung Edited March 13, 2014 by BillsGuyInWilton
BringBackFergy Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Nice list. Thanks for this. I'll take James Jones and Lagarette Blount (not on your list) for the win.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 I didn't include certain positions but if there is a call for it I can go back and re-edit the original list.
Lt. Dan's Revenge Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Thanks, Bills guy in wherever you may be at the moment.
bowery4 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I think they may consider a older Olineman or back up QB, those positions can tend to be good after 30.
mrags Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 (edited) Give me Brandon Pettigrew Miles Austin Michael Oher Brandon Spikes One of the Cromarties or Mike Jenkins And Blount Give me that and we make a playoff run this year. Edited March 12, 2014 by mrags
Sisyphean Bills Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 The time to worry is after the dust settles.

richNjoisy Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Why Oher? Oher currently ranks 68th out of 76 qualified tackles, according to ProFootballFocus.com.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 I'm a big fan of Major Wright. Started the last 3 seasons, big hitter...put him at SS and Williams at FS.
mrags Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Why Oher? Oher currently ranks 68th out of 76 qualified tackles, according to ProFootballFocus.com. yeah. But I don't follow some website to tell me a guy can play football. Oher is not even close to that bad. Yes Mr. Burns seriously. The money we offered to Burd we could have the top 3 highest paid on that list in my opinion. Then they planned in spending elsewhere in FA. Why not?
Tintonfallsbillsfan Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Strief might make sense . The bills could use a few been there done that guys to get to the next level.
clayboy54 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Now, I understand why the Bills do what they do. The use Rotoworld to rank their players. Why not just watch the games and make your own rankings. Novel idea, apparently.
BringBackFergy Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 seriously. The money we offered to Burd we could have the top 3 highest paid on that list in my opinion. Then they planned in spending elsewhere in FA. Why not? I'm in full agreement. I'd rather sprinkle cash across three levels of play than one player who is anything but happy to be here.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I wouldnt mind Miles Austin for the right price CBF
billieve420 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I would go after Thomas Decloud who was released by ATL. Would be a good fit he had a down year but that whole defense wasn't great. This would be an under the radar signings that could have good potential value because he played pretty well prior to that.
nucci Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Give me Brandon Pettigrew Miles Austin Michael Oher Brandon Spikes One of the Cromarties or Mike Jenkins And Blount Give me that and we make a playoff run this year. Mile Austin has had hamstring injuries for years now. Can't play a full season. I'll take the others though.
offyourocker Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I wouldnt mind Miles Austin for the right price CBF Guy could not produce last 2 years with Romo throwing to him. Not a good sign. I would much rather see Sidney Rice come in.
