RuntheDamnBall Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 http://pitchfork.com/news/54292-stream-the-war-on-drugs-new-album-lost-in-the-dream/ I'm not a big-time OTW poster these days, but I figured this record would appeal to some of the crowd here. Definitely some overtones of Tom Petty, early Springsteen, Dire Straits, 80s U2 production, and some classic Americana moves and solos. Don't let the pitchfork link fool ya, this is definitely not a straight-up hipster vibe, even if there's a drum machine here and there.
The Poojer Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 going to see them friday, they have been on the cusp of making it big for a while now. It's Kurt Vile's old band. Happy to see both of them getting some recognition.
