White Linen Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 1 year 3.5 million. http://nfl.si.com/2014/03/10/louis-delmas-miami-dolphins-jairus-byrd-free-agency/
Malazan Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 1 year 3.5 million. http://nfl.si.com/20...rd-free-agency/ Wow, that is like 26% of what Byrd wants.
White Linen Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 Wow, that is like 26% of what Byrd wants. I think whoever may give Byrd 8-9 or even 10 million per year is going to find themselves making a huge mistake.
B-Man Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 perhaps the market for safeties..............even the best one available...........isn't what Eugene thought. .
Malazan Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 perhaps the market for safeties..............even the best one available...........isn't what Eugene thought. . Byrd's going to get a lot of money. There will be a desperate team willing to shell out that kind of money in some fashion. Parker likely has enough pull to get the fake dollars pumped up a good bit.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 perhaps the market for safeties..............even the best one available...........isn't what Eugene thought. . This. I think Byrd will play elsewhere in 2014, but the offer from Buffalo might be the best one he sees.
Buftex Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) According to NFL Network, Browns "serious" about signing Donte Whitner... now, that could just be a ploy to get Byrd to settle for less money, but it is seeming more and more likely that the Bills offer will be the best offer he gets. I know, Rams and Redskins are supposed to be interested, but I also heard that Byrds' price is likely too steep for the Redskins... interesting to see how this all plays out. Peter Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Delmas isn't nearly as good as Byrd. 26%? According to NFL Network, Browns "serious" about signing Donte Whitner... now, that could just be a ploy to get Byrd to settle for less money, but it is seeming more and more likely that the Bills offer will be the best offer he gets. I know, Rams and Redskins are supposed to be interested, but I also heard that Byrds' price is likely too steep for Byrd... interesting to see how this all plays out. Whitner is also from that area.
FireChan Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I think whoever may give Byrd 8-9 or even 10 million per year is going to find themselves making a huge mistake. He'll be cut or traded/restructured by year 3. Similar to what's going on with Revis right now.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 According to NFL Network, Browns "serious" about signing Donte Whitner... I think they have to say they are "serious" about it, otherwise everyone would burst out laughing. By the way, I thought Whitner was indispensable to the Niners?
ALF Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 He might still have injury issues if Scwhartz passed on him with his reasonable price.
RealityCheck Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I hope that the Browns get everything they want this offseason. It will make it that much sweeter when the Bills smash them.
