Jared Allen signs 4 year deal with Bears.

$32M with $15.5M guaranteed, and can void to a 3-year $24M deal. Not bad.

If it would have been the Pats to let Byrd walk they would have said they were smart to turn him in to a comp pick and not wasting the money on him. Then praised how we brought in versatile talent that adds more then just depth to our roster.

And I am generally not a guy to whine about stuff like that but a C+? Why not a D-?!

You know there's no way we'll get a comp pick for Byrd, right?

If we'd let Byrd walk but signed someone like Louis Delmas or Ryan Clark or whoever for half the money, I think you'd see more fans and writers praising the Bills for shrewd management. It's the combo of letting him walk and seemingly planning to replace him with a mid round rookie who barely played last year that's the problem. (Or replacing Aaron Williams, for those fans who insist that Williams is Byrd's replacement. Point is, there's an open starter at S, and the Bills are publicly saying that Duke Williams or Meeks will fill that role. That doesn't inspire confidence.)

Davin Joseph is still available out there. He used to be very good at Tampa. I don't if maybe have a league minimum offer with no guaranteed money so cut him if he doesn't work out. He's not that old, and I don't know of any chronic injuries.

Also going to try Graham at safety

I can understand the Eagles concern especially in light of the Aaron Hernandez saga.

Very understandable.

So now, which team takes a chance with Jackson? Somebody will.
