Chef Jim Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Toyota moving 5,000 jobs out of Torrance, CA to Texas. Rough hit for Torrance, which is essentially a schithole of a city as it is. I used to work for the company that did the food service there. It's a huge place. And Nissan left there a few years ago and went to Tennessee (I think).

You mean companies Will move to business friendly locations with lower taxes and less regulations? Shocking. .. I keep waiting for when my company will relocate my position to texas... . I have a gut feeling it will be in the next 5 years. As soon as there is enough incentive and someone high enough heads a cost savings project I can see it happen. Nanker Posted June 6, 2014 Author Posted June 6, 2014 Right, the NHTSA's all over it. Won't be long now before the original story gets the media-frenzy treatment! I'm certain of it. Waiting.
KD in CA Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 This is for all to enjoy, but mostly for KD. Suburu of Witchita turns the table on union protesters. Union on the left, car dealer on the right. I'm having that made into Christmas cards this year. http://www.latimes.c...0,1494791.story http://www.dallasnew...nd-kentucky.ece Great article in the LA Times; I'm sure the driving force for Toyota's decision is to be in a more "macho" state and has nothing to do with the employment polices, taxation, regulations, etc. that drive the cost of doing business in CA through the roof.
