Justice Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 as he has more than 4 years service, he was released not waived. which should make him a fully unrestricted free agent today-- unless there was some tweak in the cba update about this i missed he can be signed just like any other guy on the street. Thanks. I wasn't sure about that. I still feel that the Vikings are a threat for his services.
sodbuster Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 He's been a beast in Madden in recent years... get 'er done As good a reason as any... If the bills sign him, or go after him and fail, it could give us good indications of what the Schwartz's plans are.
YoloinOhio Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Please F5 Someone find out if he likes to see deer in his backyard Thanks. I wasn't sure about that. I still feel that the Vikings are a threat for his services. +Iggles, Bears, Falcons, Cowboys
NoSaint Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 As good a reason as any... If the bills sign him, or go after him and fail, it could give us good indications of what the Schwartz's plans are. what would be your take away?
YoloinOhio Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Apparently it was a mutual parting of ways according to the Browns (except they were on the hook for a 4 mill roster bonus, so that just may have played a part). Pettine could have pulled the trigger to build with young talent and plans to draft a MLB (a la Nick Barnett cut, draft Kiko). Although IMO Jackson .> Barnett.
sodbuster Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 what would be your take away? For starters, he shined in a 4-3 at mlb. I would assume that would mean Kiko would be moving outside.
thebandit27 Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 Someone find out if he likes to see deer in his backyard +Iggles, Bears, Falcons, Cowboys I can't picture the Eagles signing him unless they released Demeco Ryans or Mychal Kendricks...I believe they like them both quite a bit. Falcons & Cowboys would make sense...didn't the Bears draft Jon Bostic last year to play MLB?

I didn't think about it any deeper than just teams who are "contenders" but bad on D who could use a good player. But you're right about those guys.
bills1960 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Well if you want your guy to take the Mike spot so Kiko can move over then there you go, would be probably relatively cheap for a player of his caliber.
bisonbrigade Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Get that Dude, sign Byrd and we got our selves a D. Then focus on Offense in the draft.

QB Bills Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 How much would he command? He's been a pretty good player historically, so I can see some team offering him quite a bit. As stated above, sign him and Byrd and the defense looks quite formidable.

NoSaint Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Cowboys are in cap hell if the cap jumps over 10m, its going to help a lot of teams
Astrobot Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 (edited) Three great years with the Browns inn three years without injury. Allows us flex inthe draft especially at 9. Sign him up. Edited February 26, 2014 by Astrobot
Beerball Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 if the cap jumps over 10m, its going to help a lot of teams They are still well short. (as in Jerrah's talking about cutting Ware)

Gave me confidence when I had none and listened when I needed someone. Most underrated player in the NFL. Favorite Retweet
QCity Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I wouldn't get your hopes up. I just pray he doesn't sign with New England ughhh

Buftex Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 the twist being that so many have said we will be keeping much of pettines scheme here as a counter to discussion about schwartzs schemes. really, until we see some more info, its hard to advocate for any defensive players right now as we dont know what we will be running. My guess is that the release is as much to do with money as it is ability. I mean, I can't imagine, all things equal, Pettine preferring to be without Jackson, unless there was some cap benefit that they needed by releasing him.
