BADOLBILZ Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 The result with Byrd is not the same, it is TBD. And if they do end up with the same result - a 1st, 4th and 6th rd pick? OK. So they can sacrifice strength now for potential later? Are the Bills the official double A affiliate of NFC contenders? This coaching staff needs to win this year or it may be necessary to hire someone else to attempt to break the culture. Then maybe they can repeat the process and deal away Glenn or Alonso while they are on rebuild number 5 or 6. At some point, you gotta' hold your ground and play to win NOW.

They are trying to keep him. I want him to stay. Not sure many don't want that. But if they had to trade him (because he chooses not to sign here) then yes, a 1st, 4th and 6th would be just fine in return.

I love the idea of adding a lot of talent in the draft too........draft picks are the most valued things in the eyes of fans......the shiny new objects that offer hope. They rarely completely live up to expectations and they depreciate rapidly in the eyes of fans.....usually even when they play well. But the two biggest problems this team faces are quarterbacking and breaking the losing culture. The QB issue will play out one way or another, but this team desperately needs to gather as much ready-to-dominate talent on the field next season as possible so that the intangible qualities this team lacks......confidence and mental toughness(heart).....don't prevent them from becoming a winning team and Marrone's message doesn't officially fall on deaf ears( that process already started after the KC game this past season so there is an urgency). Since the losing culture is mainly a state of mind, the hope is that in the process of physically defeating teams they will generate those intangibles needed to maintain and build upon that success.
