thebandit27 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/02/25/report-jordan-gross-will-retire/ This changes things at the bottom of the 1st round. Carolina was already very weak at OT, and now Gross is gone and Byron Bell is an UFA. Looks like at least 5-6 OTs will go in the first round.
boyst Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 (edited) Carolina is going to be in trouble next year. Like last in the division trouble. They have a lot of holes to fill on a team that got by exceedingly well. Edited February 25, 2014 by jboyst62
Kirby Jackson Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Carolina is going to be in trouble next year. Like last in the division trouble. They have a lot of holes to fill on a team that got by exceedingly well. They already have the look of next year's Houston Texans. I could see them going back to a 4-6 win team (and I like Cam).
aristocrat Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Panthers have 30 mil in cap space but need to sign hardy. If they can get someone to play opposite smith they will be just fine next year....def see them going after one of the big receivers in round one. I could see them signing a free agent tackle to replace gross and going wr and db in the draft as they need some secondary help.

I could see them signing a free agent tackle to replace gross and going wr and db in the draft as they need some secondary help. They can get by with their average receivers like they did last year, provided they re-sign LaFell or Ginn and draft some new talent, but they definitely need help in the secondary and on the line now. I still think they'll be competitive, but they'll almost certainly regress next year.
