#34fan Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 (edited) These two were key peices in one of the most prolific passing attacks in college football. Detractors will say that both benefitted from being the favorite targets of QB Derek Carr, and a very WR freindly scheme. However, In their defense, both wide-outs DOMINATED their conference. They also PROGRESSED consistently. Their tremendous leaping ability, and great ball instincts make them serious open field threats. When you combine that with their advanced route-running skills, you'll see two kids that are as close to pro-ready as it gets. Davante Adams SOPHMORE -6'2" 215lbs, 2013: Led nation in receptions '(131) and TD catches (24) Career: 233 catches, 3030 yards, 38 TD's ADVANCED ROUTE RUNNER, SEPARATES EASILY FROM DEFENDERS, HIGH POINTS AND HOLDS ONTO BALL. Isaiah Burse SENIOR -6'0" 187lbs, 2013: 99 catches for 1026 yards, 6 TD's, average 10.4 yards per catch. 2012: 57 catches, 851 yards, average 14.9 yards per catch. Career: 209 catches. 2503 yards, 15 TD's PROJECTS AS SLOT RECEIVER. Having watched alot of Bulldog football, I believe these two will add instant lethality to anyone's offense. Adams is a beast, and I've heard Burse described as the "poor man's" Sammy Watkins. In Fairness, I also heard Colin Kaepernick described as the "poor man's" Cam Newton! I expect Adams to be gone late 1st, early second. -Even sooner, if he has a good combine. At the moment Burse is flying under the radar, and looks to be a late round-UDFA steal. Check these two out, OBD! Edited February 25, 2014 by #34fan
NewEra Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I did some scouting on Derek Carr and the thing that stood out most was Davante Adams. The kid can really snag balls with the best of them. Really tough kid that battles for the ball in the air and running after the catch. I'd be happy with him in rd 2. He doesn't have the height some posters want, but he plays big.

He really does "snag" balls out of the air, and also toe-tap to keep his feet in-bounds. Burse was money in the slot, flat, and even coming out of the backfield. These kids really do COMPETE.
