Pete Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 He is a a beast! 31- but 11 sacks last year. Can play inside or outside. And we can add to our arsenal of passrushers! http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/10501089/new-york-giants-let-justin-tuck-hakeem-nicks-test-free-agency-gm-jerry-reese-says?addata=module-b
Wings and Beer Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Tuck would be an asset, however, we already have so much money tied up in our dline, we need to spend our resources elsewhere. I might feel differently if he were 25, but at 31, I don't feel it's a wise investment. No doubting his talent though, he is an impact player.

BaaadThingsMan Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Depends, if he's willing to sign a reasonable contract he would definitely be worth it!! He can play!! Most likely he will be looking for his last big payday which would put the Bills out of the running, too bad!!
KD in CA Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Tuck is a fine player, but for whatever reason I've always felt like the Giants D was greater than the sum of the parts. I just don't see Tuck being worth what he'll demand contract wise.
Hazed and Amuzed Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Nope, but I'd definitely bring Jon Beason in for a test drive. I think if he can stay healthy he may be a perfect fit for this D
White Linen Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I personally find it nice that we aren't desperate for pass rushers. Haven't been able to say that for a very long time. Great job Nix/Whaley.
OldTimer1960 Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 There are bigger needs elsewhere, unless for some very strange reason the market for him is very depressed.
Dean Cain Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I'd take him. Should have a good season left in him.
tombstone56 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 this year will have a unpresidented number of d-line both at de and dt .. should the bills go after either id rather see a guy like paul solai from the fins inside but my favorite de in free agency would be lamar houston from raiderland..!!mario and him as bookends , thatd be scary with our inside group,,my hope is one good de and either a olb or o line help.if we get another starter in free agency at either de or olb ,the draft will have alot more flexibilty ive run fanspeak draft sim dozens of time certain players seem to be available in most of the sims for the bills. ,shane skov, demarcus larence , cyril richardson ,joe don duncan de'anthony thomas for example
Sumin Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 (edited) Unless the market for him is so small that his contract demands lessen, I'd say no. We already have some good pass rushers and Hughes is a lot younger and has more potential to improve his game. I don't think Tuck will be willing to take a low contract unless he goes to a contender. Just seems like it is his last payday in FA so he will try to get as much value out of it as possible. But who knows. Anything is possible If we were to grab anyone in FA on the Dline I would want Willie Young. He's young and played in Schwartz's defense. He too, would have to come at a reasonable price. We've invested so much in the DL already and Hughes and Carrington are also decisions we have to make- even more could be invested in comparison to as we stand right now Edited February 23, 2014 by Sumin
NoSaint Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 If we are trending towards a Schwartz defense I'd rather go after a pass rusher than a 3rd linebacker. If we are sticking towards pettines I'd say someone a bit more versatile that can play in space would be better.
KOKBILLS Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Nope, but I'd definitely bring Jon Beason in for a test drive. I think if he can stay healthy he may be a perfect fit for this D I'm a big fan of pursuing Beason for this team...The price tag could certainly scare me off...But I think he would be a huge addition to the Bills Defense...
missthe kgun Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 His price tag will be small due to his injuries, hopefully we could get him and have him stay healthy, but once guys start having injuries like he has they don't often stay healthy. Worth a shot though at the right price
frogger Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Give me Jared Allen for 3 years, he's done it on two different teams and I hate subway commercials
