Chef Jim Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 We are soooooo overdue here. And when we get one I'm afraid it will make your 4.1 (which is a decent shaker btw) look like someone farted.
Just Jack Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Our mirror rattled. I looked at the time. About 10:30. I joked maybe it was an earthquake. I was right. So...... what you're saying is you cant make the mirror rattle whenever you want to?

I hope when cali gets divided or separated, I can be on the western cali or newly formed island. Edited February 15, 2014 by Beerball

I really did say "hmm must be an earth quake" and it was right toward the end of the first American Dad which is on 10-10:30
Pete Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 New Bedford Mass had a minor earthquake the other day. I wonder if eastern quakezones are starting to wake up
boyst Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) New Bedford Mass had a minor earthquake the other day. I wonder if eastern quakezones are starting to wake up Did you read the article? It was interesting how it's not a fault zone like out West. They think it was a giant boulder from the ancient Appalachian Mtns that fell underground. I hope I did not come off as condescending. I had thought the same thing, too. I ended up reading some stuff about it on my tablet while on the elliptical. I'll link it if you would like. Edited February 15, 2014 by jboyst62
boyst Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) http://www.ajc.com/n...rgia-tec/ndQMX/ Another article. I used Google Earfff to figure we are roughly 180 miles from the site. It rattled the mirror on the wall, that was about it. Feels pretty cool. According to this article, Atlanta felt it similarly to thunder at the most. and another http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/14/us/south-carolina-earthquake/ The quake was three miles under Edgefield, SC and USGS says it was a 4.4, though other reports say 4.1 Edited February 15, 2014 by jboyst62
