They think it was a giant boulder from the ancient Appalachian Mtns that fell underground. I hope I did not come off as condescending. I had thought the same thing, too. I ended up reading some stuff about it on my tablet while on the elliptical. I'll link it if you would like. I used Google Earfff to figure we are roughly 180 miles from the site. It rattled the mirror on the wall, that was about it. Feels pretty cool.
