That's not exactly news - the White House has been featuring Virginia wines at official dinners since at least 2009 (possibly earlier). I've toured a few of the wineries, but not Thibaut-Jannison.

 

In general, Virginia wines are decent, about where the Aussies were in the mid-80's. I'm still surprised they're served at White House functions, though.

Actually I would have served a 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay. Sure if you can find it it'll cost probably $10k a bottle but boy would it piss the frogs off. :devil:

They're French. Just serve em Barefoot, and Bartles and James. Or Boones Farm, and Thunderbird.

I was giving this guy credit till he talked about getting a Little Ceasars pizza and enjoying it. Loses all credibility with anything to do with taste right there

 

I disagree with his opinion in Barefoot wines. They have some good wines, better than Charles Shaw in my opinion.
