Wacka Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Should serve Two Buck Chuck from Trader Joe's. (Aldi's)
DC Tom Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 That's not exactly news - the White House has been featuring Virginia wines at official dinners since at least 2009 (possibly earlier). I've toured a few of the wineries, but not Thibaut-Jannison. In general, Virginia wines are decent, about where the Aussies were in the mid-80's. I'm still surprised they're served at White House functions, though.
Chef Jim Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Actually I would have served a 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay. Sure if you can find it it'll cost probably $10k a bottle but boy would it piss the frogs off.
Kevin Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) They're French. Just serve em Barefoot, and Bartles and James. Or Boones Farm, and Thunderbird. Edited February 13, 2014 by Kevin

Loses all credibility with anything to do with taste right there
Kevin Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I was giving this guy credit till he talked about getting a Little Ceasars pizza and enjoying it. Loses all credibility with anything to do with taste right there I disagree with his opinion in Barefoot wines. They have some good wines, better than Charles Shaw in my opinion.
