the most common comparison i've heard is a better version of our very own mario williams. i know cleveland needs a qb and offensive help, but i cant help but wonder if pettine wont be able to resist getting the corner-stone to his defense, mario 2.0

It's a tough position to project on because of the injuries. Andre Wadsworth was one of the best college DEs I've ever seen, and he projected as a dominant NFL player. Knee injuries did him in, and quickly. Da'Quan Bowers was seen by many as a possible #1 overall pick, but a knee injury has rendered him ineffective and he dropped (rightly so, in retrospect). QBs can come back from knee injuries, but speed rushers seem to often fall off a cliff.

I think whatever team drafts Clowney will eventually regret it. He just seems like the type of player that just wants to get paid

 

There are a lot of questions about him giving 100% all the time which to me is a huge risk to take a player that high and pay him that much
