Now i need to figure out where i am gonna plant them, i want to find a community garden or something. I grew a bunch of them last year. Looking forward to doing it again

boyst
Not sure what your question is? Or what you're wondering? You're up North. Down here we start peppers in May, or so. Depends on the year, season, sign and such. I'd imagine later May would be ideal. You can start them indoors, in a planter first. Get a grow bulb, a timer and give them about 5-8 hours of light a day with that or just put them in the window. There are tons of community gardens around, too. You could also look to go a cost-share-ag program.

Johnny Hammersticks
just curious if there are other hot pepper fans/growers I'm with ya Pooj...love hot peppers, but I'm not much of a gardener. I usually grow a small herb garden and some tomatoes and cucumbers. I'm thinking about growing some peppers this summer tho. Growing up I have fond memories of eating roasted hot pepper and mayonnaise sandwiches with my grandfather. Anyone know some good varieties (medium heat) that would grow well up north? Pete
I had some serious gardens going the last few years. Sadly I moved and cannot have one this year. Chili peppers are one of my favorites. Start early. And Chilis love the heat and can withstand a little draught. Get them plenty of sun and they will thrive
