Green Lightning Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 TG failed at his shot at a national gig and he's back as a local hack and bitter about it. EJ now knows the guy's a dick and he should treat him accordingly. All said and done however, EJ's multiple knee issues are a considerable concern.

It's nice to know that Tim Graham can't help himself from whiffing terribly at every opportunity to take the high road.

Estro Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I have a lot of questions about EJ's abilities, without taking into consideration the knee problems. Accuracy is the chief of my concerns. I just have problems, based on the history of QB play, that accuracy is a trait that can be vastly improved.......and I think EJ's accuracy must vastly improve in order to be a good NFL QB. My second main concern is his pocket presence under pressure. His tendency to back up and spin backward in a muddied pocket killed many of our drives. This I believe can be improved, but many QB's who refuse to step up in the pocket (Blaine Gabbert) do not last very long in this league. As for Tim Graham, don't now the man at all, but his antics on this board and on twitter became very annoying to me. That's one of the reasons I stopped following him on twitter. He seems to always be twisting and caniving his way to make a story where there just isn't one to be made. I actually agree with him that the Bills should draft another QB high (for the concerns I listed above), I just don't see the purpose of Tim saying that point blank to his face. Just not a respectful thing to do, IMO.

TG threw a hard ball question at the golden boy. Are you concerned EJ is crying himself to sleep tonight?
MDH Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Either way, the answer to your question is NO. I'm sure his doctors who see many many patients aren't nearly as concerned about his knee as the doctors for the Buffalo Bills or the specialists they hire that are concerned with profession athletes (especially Quarterbacks). Have you ever been to a Dr. with a problem? They don't do sh*t unless they have to thanks to the insurance companies. I've had neck, shoulder and back issues and they won't even take an MRI until I go through 6 weeks of physical therapy first. If there is any improvement with physical therapy they won't order the MRI. With my shoulder they actually gave me the MRI and when it was discovered that I had a partially torn rotator cuff they didn't order surgery it was, "just keep doing the exercises." Years and years later I still have to do those exercises 3-4 times a week because if I don't my shoulder feels like sh*t. So yeah, guys in the NFL get different treatment than the rest of us because they have a financial backer who doesn't mind paying for all the procedures.

RuntheDamnBall Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 High road? Meh? Can you throw a few more pop catch phrases in there? TG threw a hard ball question at the golden boy. Are you concerned EJ is crying himself to sleep tonight? How is it a hardball question? How the F is Manuel supposed to answer that question? I'm sure EJ doesn't give a crap what this very, very small person has to say to him, and if anything he'll go to sleep more motivated to make him look like an idiot next season. Though Graham doesn't need the help. I have a lot of questions about EJ's abilities, without taking into consideration the knee problems. Accuracy is the chief of my concerns. Could we stop feeding this myth and perhaps acknowledge that a rookie season riddled with injuries might have made it difficult to get on the same page with his receivers? And that a knee injury and footwork issues (which a QB coach can help settle down) might have also had something to do with this? Of course, Andrew Luck didn't improve from his rookie year accuracy of 54%. Nor was Kaepernick's accuracy under 60% this year. Oh, wait.

Saw some incredible displays of accuracy during this season.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Heard on the radio this morning that EJ says he will wear a brace going forward. Not sure if its a permenant thing or only temporary CBF
FluffHead Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I generally dislike Tim graham but I see nothing wrong with his question to EJ. And when EJ asks him if he thinks the bills should take a Qb in the first, you would rather TG lie?
Fan in Chicago Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I generally dislike Tim graham but I see nothing wrong with his question to EJ. And when EJ asks him if he thinks the bills should take a Qb in the first, you would rather TG lie? How do you feel about TG spending an entire article trying to justify his snarky line of questioning ? Players do not have this privilege - of having a newspaper in which to weave an elaborate excuse to why he asked not just *the* question, but the entire line of questioning he did yesterday. http://www.buffalonews.com/columns/tim-graham/draft-another-qb-its-business-not-personal-20140130?two-bills-drive
The Big Cat Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 High road? Meh? Can you throw a few more pop catch phrases in there? TG threw a hard ball question at the golden boy. Are you concerned EJ is crying himself to sleep tonight? Hardball question!? Personnel decisions are light years from EJ's duties. It'd be like 60 minutes ambushing the Genius Bar for their "hard ball" expose on Apple assembly practices in China. But that's beside the point. See below. I generally dislike Tim graham but I see nothing wrong with his question to EJ. And when EJ asks him if he thinks the bills should take a Qb in the first, you would rather TG lie? How bout not answer. It's not his !@#$ing job. Sticking a recording device in the quarterbacks face doesn't suddenly make him a member of the organization. If he was, may be then somebody would give a rats ass what he thinks the Bills should do with their draft picks. Otherwise his conjecture is no more valuable/less valuable than the endless draft predictions found here. But no. Tim Graham had to do what Tim Graham does and go and act like a prick standing eyeball to eyeball with the one person on the planet who stands to be impacted the most by Timmah's worthless opinion, using his access to project some bull **** message board fodder that ultimately means nothing. He's a sad, angry little man. And we should all pity him.

The guy has legit injury concerns and when he played was inaccurate and inconsistent. I can't believe I'm defending Tim graham right now however I think most here just think it's snarky because it's ruffling the feathers of the golden boy. The drama was really started by EJ asking a question This will probably be pinned on me as being an EJ hater, I just see nothing wrong with asking an injured/inconsistent Qb his thoughts on the team drafting another Qb. K-9 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 High road? Meh? Can you throw a few more pop catch phrases in there? TG threw a hard ball question at the golden boy. Are you concerned EJ is crying himself to sleep tonight? And EJ threw a hardball response right back at him and ended the interview. Should have been end of story, but prickboy just couldn't help himself and had to resort to his bully pulpit to drive home yet another of his imagined ridiculous points. Nothing personal, EJ? Graham takes EVERYTHING personally and makes everything personal as a result. And let's not act like this is Graham's first time in an interview setting with EJ, either. GO BILLS!!!

I can't believe I'm defending Tim graham right now however I think most here just think it's snarky because it's ruffling the feathers of the golden boy. The drama was really started by EJ asking a question I fail to see where anyone is annointing EJ as the 'golden boy'. Most are apprehensive and wish and hope that he does well, for the Bills sake. So I am not sure where your comment is coming from. Secondly, if you read the transcript from the interview, it felt more like an inquisition from TG. Like he was trying hard to instigate EJ into blowing up or otherwise providing fodder for his article the folllowing day. Instead, EJ took the high road and refused to be baited. TG then proceeds to write this entire article trying to defend himself. What other point was there to this entire write-up save to justify why he should have asked the question in the first place. Maury Ballstein Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Well if the Bills somehow win a ton of games and EJ throws some shade Tim Graham's way after every W that would be fun.

And when EJ asks him if he thinks the bills should take a Qb in the first, you would rather TG lie? I've been one who thinks running TG off this board was unjust and childish. But with that in mind, TG could have made a statement such as, "I don't know if they should (Draft another QB) but you can answer that question by playing well next season"...he side-steps the question while giving EJ a chance to BE the QB the BILLS and all of us fans hope he can and will be.
