I did the update last week, and it failed and now I don't have itunes on my computer and there are a few other issues that weird apple things are doing.

 

I'm not the only one, as this thread attests to:

But, my thing is that I really don't want to spend all this time that these people are to fix it, esp. since I'm not very confident in my abilities not to screw up things worse.

 

So, my question is - can I just wait for the next update and will that fix it? (although I'm not sure if I'll even get the next update, since I can't open itunes)

 

Any advice?

Well, it's got nothing to do with my phone anyway!

 

My iphone's working fine. It's the itunes on my desktop is the problem.

Mac or PC? I've upgraded on both machine without incident
