Just Jack Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 No thanks. The tennis court is too far from the main house. I'd have to get a golf cart and have Jeeves drive me to it.
ExiledInIllinois Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 That is right next to Lewisville Lake which is a Corps (USACE) managed facility. Maybe I will put in for dam operator there and buy the place. I am a lock and dam operator now, I will have the inside track. I can use a boat to commute to the field site! On second thought, I don't know... It might not have enough room for my my family and I...
boyst Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Kind of gaudy on the interior... Though the pools looks pretty sweet. So, yes, I would. throw in christy Brinkley a few hot for teachers and I'd agree
DC Tom Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Only two bowling lanes? And the travertine tile in the kitchen is glazed? And who the hell puts blue upholsterd furniture in a red oak library? Frickin' white trash homes.
ExiledInIllinois Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Kind of gaudy on the interior... Though the pools looks pretty sweet. So, yes, I would. Crap! There goes the neighborhood... I am moving to the other side of the lake just across the branch!
The Big Cat Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Where the hell am I supposed to put my tenth car?
ExiledInIllinois Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Where the hell am I supposed to put my tenth car? Isn't that up in Aspen anyway?
Philly McButterpants Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Hey, at least it's 40,000 sq ft. Try moving from Buffalo to Philly. Buffalo: $280K - McMansion - built in the 2000's; updated, granite counter tops, updated bathrooms, hardwood floors, crown molding, etc (yes, you'll pay $10K in property taxes) Philly: $280K: 2000 sq ft. BUT: Built in 1958, Knotty pine cabinets, green, Formica (if you're lucky) counter tops; pink carpets, paneling, linoleum, (in other words: a "big" house you'd pay $90K for in Blasdel) Needless to say, it's another Wet Wednesday in Philly . . .
The Big Cat Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Isn't that up in Aspen anyway? No, had to shut down for the winter while my people repair the helipad.
KD in CA Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I would but I can only put 10% down and don't want to pay the PMI.
