Free agency is why all this draft talk is a mute point at present because the holes filled in FA will then dictate where we draft.

The Toronto series is going to get terminated. Rogers is losing and the Bills are losing on the deal. Im betting the lawyers on both sides are working on this as we speak.

I have a feeling that if the Bills were winning this would be moot.

Smith had a really good year for Baltimore. I would be surprised if they didn't get him signed, wouldn't you?

they have some cap issues IIRC. And have Pitta and a few other notables to resign. tagging Smith might be a bit expensive. I am not sure what cap numbers are for ILB vs TE is but I know they have some notable soon to be FA's. Being that he only signed a 1 yr deal he may be ready to look for a long term contract and not care who it is with. If you give him 5 years on a contract he would take it.

That is great news - personally I'd love to have him on this team.

Back to the topic in hand, can the bills negotiate a contract with Byrd now or do they have to wait?
