But he comes from a 3-4 scheme and we're going back, or forth, to a 4-3, or not - maybe. Pass!

If they hire him you won't have the option to pass.

We constantly go to the Steelers coaching well and get burned time after time after time after time. When do we steal a Jacksonville coach and win the Super Bowl?

Was it the one where the Stillers played all backups and all we had to do was win to get in the playoffs...

Maybe this guy will bring FA LB Jason Worilds with him from Pitt...

The poster mentioned that it was a playoff game. It is probably the one in 1995 when Bruce Smith did not travel to the Steel city due to the flu.

Mularky was also from the Steelers, but wouldn't call him a total failure either. I really can't think of any ex-Steeler coaches, or front office that have been terrible. Donahoe had issues, but more personality related.

The only thing I recall we ever got from the Steelers was Donahoe. Maybe pass?

Don't forget to say hi to Mularkey and Dick Lebeau

It's shaping up to be a pretty awful offseason so far. Contributors leaving, non factors coming in (possibly). Whaley isn't looking too good for this upcoming year.

Um, what? Scwhartz is a non-factor?

The Steelers' assistant LB coach is a non-factor?

What?

From what other posters are saying, the Steelers coach finished in the bottom 3 in his position of coaching. I'm just trusting their judgment and calling him a non factor. If they're (the other posters) are wrong about his stats, then I will be wrong for not looking into him myself.

I'm not calling Shwartz a non factor though to be clear. It was towards the Steelers coach coming for an interview. Plus we still don't know what we have in Schwartz.

Where did you get this "bottom 3" stat? I am curious if there are stats on how position coaches fared--kinda interesting.

HankBulloughMellencamp's post on page 1.

Nevermind. I just saw his disclaimer message.

I'm surprised PFF hasn't actually tried to quantify a position coach rating. They've never had a problem making stuff up in the past.

GO BILLS!!!
