sweet baboo Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 the steelers also have problems winning championship games at home...at least that's what they showed during the jets game last week
HudsonValleyBillsFan Posted January 21, 2005 Author Posted January 21, 2005 I think trends are made to be broken. Most of the matchups favor Pitt. I think Bellichek's mystique is being way overblown this week. Now, if the patriots do go into Pitt. and knock off the steelers, then I'll probably never go against him again in this type of situation. But for now, I think the steelers will win.
Fan in San Diego Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I think the Steelers have a good chance of winning by just pounding the ball and taking a few dinks and dunks here and there. Maybe a few downfield as well to loosen up the middle and secondary. Just play physical ball and they can win.
MRW Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I think there's a strong case to be made for the Patriots just because Belichick is a much better coach than Cowher. What I don't get is the certainty so many seem to have that the Pats will win (or in a few cases, the certainty that they will lose). I think it's a tossup. I think the coaching edge for the Pats is offset by the strength of the Steelers' offensive line and defense. The injuries on the Patriots' defense have to catch up to them sometime too, don't they? Otherwise what are they paying those salaries for? I expect this will be a very close game - maybe a field goal winning it in the final minute or OT. Advantage Pats in that situation, but you never know.
