splinter21 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) With all the bruhaha about Sherman, I thought it would be cool to shine the spotlight on something positive. I was reading online about the fullback for the Seahawks being legally deaf. It's such an inspiring story. He was featured in a commercial explaining all the hardships he overcame playing football. Great story. Thought it was worth a share Here's a link to the commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2HD57z4F8E Here is a link to an NFL.com interview: http://www.nfl.com/v...ence-in-the-NFL Edited January 22, 2014 by splinter21
hondo in seattle Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I haven't seen this. Inspirational. Thanks for sharing.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I think it's cool that went from a baskball star to now a football star. I wonder if he went deaf from listening to Boeheim too much?
Mr. WEO Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 It is a nice story. But there is no real definition or standard for "legally deaf".
BRH Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 It is a nice story. But there is no real definition or standard for "legally deaf". This. Imagine the furor if he was illegally deaf.
splinter21 Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 It is a nice story. But there is no real definition or standard for "legally deaf". Thanks for pointing that out. I just put that there cause all the articles have that in their headlines. I will correct the title
boyst Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Does finding this slightly humorous mean I am going to Hell?
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I think it's cool that went from a baskball star to now a football star. I wonder if he went deaf from listening to Boeheim too much? Haha; just an easy hanging lob for you to hit out of the park. Well done.
