Then in the unlikely event somebody wins, its probably re-insured through one of his reinsurance companies. The insurer gets a lump sum, slow pays the billion dollars over 40 years, and in the meantime he reinvests the rest of the cash in another company, basically making more money and getting a free loan. I think one lady from Wisconsin did this 5 or 6 years ago but I also read you have a better chance of winning 3 mega million lotteries in a row then accurately picking every game right in the tournament.
