26CornerBlitz Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) Seniorbowl.com South Roster North Roster Senior Bowl week underway It’s the first big event of the NFL offseason, the Senior Bowl. And the week began Monday morning with the annual weigh-in of the prospects. More than 100 draft eligible prospects have assembled in Mobile, Alabama for this week’s practices and the Senior Bowl game on Saturday. The day began with the prospects being weighed and measured for the assembled scouts inside the Downtown Mobile Convention Center. The Bills are here in force, with GM Doug Whaley leading his scouting staff. Former GM Buddy Nix, now the team’s Special Assistant, is also here and we chatted with him briefly in the lobby of the Senior Bowl hotel. Nix says he’s been watching and grading prospects all season, but this is his first real chance to get a look at the players first-hand. The South team practice starts at 1pm Central at Fairhope Stadium outside Mobile. The North team starts at 3pm at Ladd Peebles Stadium, the venue for Saturday’s game. Doug Marrone is here for the second year as Bills Head Coach. He’ll be watching practices over the next few days and meeting with his personnel staff. We’ll hear from Coach Marrone tonight at 7pm, when we broadcast The John Murphy Show live from the Senior Bowl. We’ll also have a video interview with the Head Coach posted on Buffalobills.com later today. Edited January 20, 2014 by 26CornerBlitz

KRT88 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 The south roster has 2 #1's, 2 #3's, 2 #52's on the roster but no #9, #15-17, 81-82. what's up with that? Tajh Boyd of Clemson (South Carolina) is on north roster along with a Virgina Tech and Miami QB and Jimmy Garoppolo of Eastern Illinois is on the South. What's up with that? Just change the roster names boys.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 (edited) @IanKenyonNFL Everything about Garoppolo is quick. Footwork, motion, release, and even gets good zip on his throws. Very impressed. @IanKenyonNFL I'd have a hard time taking Derek Carr over Garappolo. Bridgewater, Bortles and Manziel the clear top 3, then maybe Jimmy for me. RyanC883 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 thanks everyone for the links. Some good reading. Seems like a decently deep QB class after the top 3. Perhaps the Bills nab one in Rd. 4 or so.

Trader Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Crockett Gilmore TE from Colorado State is my sleeper in the Senior Bowl and going forward which is much more important. Huge numbers at Colorado State. Size and he can block too!
Beerball Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 @IanKenyonNFL Everything about Garoppolo is quick. Footwork, motion, release, and even gets good zip on his throws. Very impressed. I watched some of the practices and was impressed with how quickly he sets his feet and delivers the ball.
YoloinOhio Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Dee Ford looked terrific... as he did in the NC game
Solomon Grundy Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Dee Ford looked terrific... as he did in the NC game See my draft in the "Attention Draftniks"post!
Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Crockett Gilmore TE from Colorado State is my sleeper in the Senior Bowl and going forward which is much more important. Huge numbers at Colorado State. Size and he can block too! Looks solid, also like Arthur Lynch from Georgia not flashy but always seems to make plays.
Mark Vader Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Looks solid, also like Arthur Lynch from Georgia not flashy but always seems to make plays. Looks like the TE position is deep this year. Crockett helped himself a lot yesterday. While Lynch only caught a couple passes he was always a dependable target at Georgia. Ironically, the best TE at the Senior Bowl, C.J. Fiedorowicz from Iowa, didn't catch a single pass. In fact I don't think the North even threw the ball to him once. Strange tactics by the North on that.
NewEra Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I watched some of the practices and was impressed with how quickly he sets his feet and delivers the ball. What would be your thoughts if we took Jimmy in the 2nd or 3rd round?
Mark Vader Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 What would be your thoughts if we took Jimmy in the 2nd or 3rd round? 2nd round: Absolutely not. 3rd round: Still a bit of a reach.
