iommi Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Alex Van Pelt, the Packers' running backs coach the past two seasons, might replace McAdoo. After a nine-year career playing quarterback in the NFL, Van Pelt coached quarterbacks in Buffalo from 2008-'09 and in Tampa Bay from 2010-'11. He was the Bills' coordinator in '10. "Obviously, I'm quarterback-trained, so it'd be natural," Van Pelt said last week. "But I'm having a lot of fun coaching these guys." A source said the Bills were interested in hiring Van Pelt as quarterbacks coach but, with a year remaining on his contract in Green Bay, it's unlikely McCarthy would let him go. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packe...240223411.html
YoloinOhio Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Hmmm... the best news I take from this is that the Bills are interested in hiring A QB Coach.
fridge Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Van Pelt and Hackett were part of the worst Bills offense in recent memory. Let's get 'em back together. Hell, if Pettine leaves, whats Jauron up to? We could try and go back to the "lure fans asleep" tactic.

Caldwell (I am joking because I actually think he'll be good there) looks catatonic.
GG Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Hey, and a Tom Clements sighting. Bring back the band.
Sisyphean Bills Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Lions have the corner on that. Caldwell (I am joking because I actually think he'll be good there) looks catatonic. I think you're joking about being serious.
YoloinOhio Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I think you're joking about being serious. No, I'm not. I am always on an island when it comes to my opinion on coaches on this board. I am used to it. lol.
Sisyphean Bills Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 No, I'm not. I am always on an island when it comes to my opinion on coaches on this board. I am used to it. lol. We'll try to get some bottles and writing materials to you.
YoloinOhio Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 We'll try to get some bottles and writing materials to you. Much appreciated. I prefer imports. Oh, you meant empty bottles?

The Big Cat Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Wait...OC in 2010?? Uh I thought Modkins was always the "OC" under Gailey. Wasn't AVP the default OC in 2009 after Schonert left 10 days before regular season kickoff??! Also: article is unclear DOES AVP have a year left or DID he?

Mr. WEO Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 He's the RB coach in GB?! Yeah, let's bring him back! What could go wrong?
Doc Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Good to see they're looking at getting a dedicated QB coach. But I don't know if AVP is the right guy.
