A New Jersey legislative committee probing a political payback operation carried out by Gov. Chris Christie's aides and associates plans to subpoena interview transcripts and other documents from the lawyers the governor hired to carry out an internal investigation, the committee co-chairman said Monday.

A statement from Mastro released by the governor's office late Monday afternoon said any additional subpoenas would be reviewed.

Huh? Reviewed? You mean his "independent" investigation is not just going to just release all the information? No, these guys are not his defense team, no

Is that a shredder I hear? Colonel North might give them a hand, lol

Why don't they do their own interviews?

Why don't they do their own interviews?

They will probably have to, seeing how Christies Defense team either destroyed the records or wrote down as little as possible to protect the governor. But if something does exist it should be turned over, why do a job twice?

Again:

defense attorney n. 1) the attorney representing the defendant in a lawsuit or criminal prosecution. 2) a lawyer who regularly represents defendants who have insurance and who is chosen by the insurance company. 3) a lawyer who regularly represents criminal defendants. Attorneys who regularly represent clients in actions for damages are often called "plaintiff's attorneys." (See: defendant, plaintiff's attorney)

And the "years" it will take to produce the IRS e-mails is okay with you?

LOL

Careful, B. With "LOL"s like that, you may need your own team of independent "defense" attorneys to investigate the matter and "defend" you in the "court" of public opinion... at taxpayer expense, of course.

Mr. Perry is the subject of a criminal investigation in Austin over his handling of the local district attorney’s drunken driving arrest and the state financing for a public corruption unit under the district attorney’s control. Though it remains unclear what the outcome will be, the case has been taken seriously by the governor’s office, the special state district judge handling it and the special prosecutor the judge appointed to investigate. Mr. Perry has hired a defense lawyer, David Botsford. A spokeswoman for the governor, Lucy Nashed, said his office had retained Mr. Botsford “to ensure the special prosecutor receives the facts in this matter.” She said Mr. Perry stood by his actions. .

Another possible 2016 nominee hires a...Oh but he's not in court

From the top of the line site you linked:

Because no one criminal case is exactly like another, criminal defense lawyers are trained to pick out the special portions of each case that make them unique. In addition, the best criminal defense lawyer for you may be able to spot certain arguments and factors that could mitigate or even negate any potential crime. When it is all said and done, getting an attorney to represent you in your criminal trial is a necessity.

What criminal case are they defending against?

Would you just go away.

Sigh, can you find anymore of a narrow definition?

Words have meanings, and those meanings are narrow and specific in order to facilitate communication assuring individuals can understand what ideas other individuals are trying to express without any ambiguity.

Did you really need oral and written communication explained to you?

You are all wrong and I am right.

Do you understand that communication?
