4merper4mer
Remember; nobody else posts in here. Please comment and insult these guys in the over-arching thread. The winner will be decided by the judge. Me. This debate will be slightly different. There are no side exactly. It will be more of an essay form. If both combatants come to similar conclusions we'll turn it into a debate. Please note that the other rules still apply. Use insults, links, and facts. If you don't think I will check into your facts feel free to make them up. Topic: In a new dream/nightmare like world once someone writes a song or has an idea of any type everyone owns it. You decide if it is a dream or a nightmare and describe what the world would look like in 5 years, and again in 50 years.
GG
This contest is over, because it was my idea in the first place.

TakeYouToTasker
I forgot about this. Thanks for the bump. I'll begin by simply stating that I am not against IP, per sey, but I have enjoyed making that black and white argument here, on this board, because it's a much more fun argument to make. I will however piggy-back onto my own existing extreme argument to make my actual case that IP, as administered in the US, is arbitrary and inconsistent, and is in great need of focused reforms. GG
Oh, yeah, this thing. Nice backpedaling, when you've consistently been on the extreme end of the argument. Care to be a tad more concrete in what you think is arbitrary and inconsistent? Is it the time frame, or is it the notion that people shouldn't be allowed to copyright original thoughts or ideas? How can you acknowledge that the world is divided between smart people and idiots, but not allow for a legal framework that smart people should profit from their intellect and originality, and protect it from thieves? 4merper4mer
Take You to Tasker is hereby sanctioned in this thread. This is not a punishment for delay, but rather repeated unkept promises and ending the delay. As punishment he must illegally download that song DC Tom really hates and listen to it once before and after each time he posts. He must also work at least three contiguous lines of the lyrics into the midst of on of his arguments and have it make sense.
