grinreaper Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 No, but they sure did not prevent it, or create any economic miracle or or...pay for themselves. The point is, the tax cuts in the "health care" bill won't solve our medical problems as thirdthing was suggesting I can just imagine your explanation of the recession. It would go something like this: Democrats Show me where I suggested that. I've talked about that recession numerous times here and probably in direct response to you. I'm not going to educate you again just to have you fall back to your talking points. This I'll give you----read up on the CRA.
B-Man Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 THE HILL: Cruz plan could be key to unlocking healthcare votes. The Texas Republican is pushing for a provision that would allow insurers to sell plans that do not comply with ObamaCare insurance regulations, so long as they also sell plans that comply with those rules. Cruz says giving insurers a path around the regulations should allow them to offer some plans at a lower cost. It’s unclear whether the amendment will be added to the Senate bill, known as the Better Care Reconciliation Act, or even whether it will pass muster under budgetary rules. But the amendment could be the key to ensuring that the legislation passes both the House and the Senate. House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) indicated he could support the Senate bill if the Cruz amendment is included. That’s different from a little more than a week ago, when Meadows said the Senate’s legislation lacked enough conservative support to pass the House. “If the Cruz consumer choice amendment gets there, yes I can support it without the MacArthur amendment in there because I think it gives everybody some options,” Meadows told reporters late last week. It’s a radical idea, allowing insurers to sell plans that people want to buy — but it just might work!
Tiberius Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Until the economy takes off there won't be any more living wage jobs added. You guys on the left should back Trump's healthcare plan and his eventual tax cuts so that the economy grows if you ever have hopes of more welfare spending. Hi
Tiberius Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Read again asswipe. I did and it's still stupid. Tax cuts for the rich will save the world, blah blah blah
Chef Jim Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 But we have had decades of tax cuts for the wealthy. W Bush cut taxes and all we got out of that was the worst recession since the Great Depression. Sure, let's try that again! Only tax cuts for the wealthy? Lie much?
Tiberius Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Only tax cuts for the wealthy? Lie much? Where did I say only? You are so shot. Are you drunk?
Chef Jim Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Where did I say only? You are so shot. Are you drunk? Because you have never ever in your life here have said anything but.
Tiberius Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Because you have never ever in your life here have said anything but. ?
Chef Jim Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 ? I'll try again. Because you have never ever in your life here said anything but. Better??
reddogblitz Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Tax cuts to companies who bring back or create new jobs , sure. When has this ever worked before?
Tiberius Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 CNN covering the health care bill and quoting Republicans http://www.cnn.com/2017/07/05/politics/health-care-susan-collins-rand-paul/index.html Fox almost completely ignoring it, lol http://www.foxnews.com
B-Man Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 How Many Jobs Does ObamaCare Kill? The ACA includes a penalty on employers that fail to provide “adequate” insurance for full-time workers. Thanks to the ACA, hiring the 50th full-time employee effectively costs another $70,000 a year on top of the normal salary and benefits. Many business owners have described how this penalty prevents them from hiring and has caused them to reduce work hours to below the full-time threshold. ACA supporters dismiss these statements as “mere anecdotes” not corroborated by national sampling and statistical analysis. But did any of them rush out to gather the national samples, especially after Jan. 1, 2016, when the employer penalty took full effect? If you have to ask…
row_33 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 even the New York Review of Books had to state the main things horribly wrong with ObamaCare in a recent article on health insurance. So it must be even 100 times worse if they have to say ANYTHING bad about it...
Tiberius Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 The last part is the best. They are just going to simply lie about it. https://www.washingtonpost.com/powerpost/senate-gop-and-white-house-plan-final-urgent-blitz-to-pass-health-care-law/2017/07/07/08367830-631d-11e7-8adc-fea80e32bf47_story.html?hpid=hp_hp-top-table-main_endgame-815pm%3Ahomepage%2Fstory&utm_term=.a1bca1462330 The White House and Senate Republican leaders are planning a final, urgent blitz to pressure reluctant GOP senators to pass an overhaul of the Affordable Care Act before their month-long August recess. Aware that the next 14 days probably represent their last chance to salvage their flagging endeavor, President Trump, Vice President Pence and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) intend to single out individual senators and escalate a broad defense of the evolving proposal, according to Republicans familiar with their plans. ******When Trump returns from Europe, he plans to counter the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office’s analysis of the legislation — which shows that 22 million fewer people would have insurance coverage by 2026 than under the current law — with figures and analyses from conservative groups and Republicans that show more benefits and less disruption, should the bill pass, according to a White House official familiar with the strategy.*****
Chef Jim Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 I'm so !@#$ing confused. When is lying ok and when is it not?
