Do you ever start or finsh a sentence without LOL, :nana: or !?

I am like B-Man w/out pictures. I will try. I am just a happy guy! That doesn't mean I am light in my loafers either! :-P Anway... On a mobile device, there are no emoticons, so I either manually put them in use other forms of laughter. Just be thankful I don't go all OC! I guess I am smiling and laughing all most of them time. I will try to stop that and change up my style. I am shocked the overuse of ellipsis hasn't got to people.

Yeah, because low divorce rates clearly mean that women aren't gang raped as punishment for the misdeeds of their male relatives, stoned, beaten, treated like second-class citizens, denied the ability to drive or even be out in public without an escort and ridiculous outfits to cover every inch of their bodies...

The Quran doesn't permit any of that. The divorce rate shows men treat their women just fine. Don't worry about ours. Worry about yours.

Ridiculous outfits? Please. At least they don't dress like whores. Or maybe I should say at least they're not whores. You see a girl walking by with hijab and you think poor girl? Ha ha ha. I see a slut walking by and think the same thing.

“Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the (false) faith he preached.”

You've got to be trolling. Quoting Byzantine emperors? So Christian behavior during the Crusades is fair game now, too?

To those of you going on about the treatment of women in Islam: I find it highly laughable that a nation that has a 50% divorce rate can tell ANYONE how to treat their women. Especially a region that only averages 2%.

Men lie, women lie, number don't.

Maybe because woman have a life or death motivation NOT to seek divorce in Islamic countries? Or is it arranged marriages are the way to go?

What's even stupider is that he sees a woman walking by in a hijab and thinks she was forced to wear it, because there's no way a woman would choose to wear a hijab.

Catholic nuns, though...completely different.

Yeah. That's it. That's why their divorce rate is so low. There are literally millions of killers over there. Those 2% just got lucky.

I've never met an arranged couple. That rarely takes place these days, but the system works.

You see an oppressed female walking by with hijab and you think poor girl? Ha ha ha. I see a slut walking by and think the same thing.

Corrected. (and that may be her choice)

At least their walking. What happens if you see a woman w/hijab driving a car in Saudi Arabia? You know what I think? She's a goner!

So true.

The Virgin Mary also wore hijab. My daughters are of age for hijab now and they don't wear them. It's their choice when and if they want to.

Now remind 'em that not only was Jesus a Jew, but Mary couldn't possibly have been Christian for the first two decades of her life. Christians love that.

The Saudis definitely over do it. They're prop ably just fearful that their women will end up being whores. I don't condone it, but hey, facts are facts.

Right around the time women starting getting some rights (1920s) in the US, the divorce rate rose significantly. Do you think there's any correlation?

Understandable. Are you in the states? If so, you are afforded the rights and freedom. Would they dare drive a car in Saudia Arabia?

For the record, I don't agree w/the side you are arguing w/.

BUT, you are tacitly enabling the Saudi's. How in the heck can driving a car turn a person into a whore? Huh?

So, it is okay to not except woman's sufferage over protecting the covenant of marriage? How convenient.

Oddly enough you just made the same argument against your post I was going to use.

Personally, I think Islamic men need to get a little thicker skin and be more secure to make a stand against the injustices that exist w/in their religion. They need to except that they can't hold a woman in marriage by the sword (deny control/right). They seem very insecure. Again, I am NOT siding w/the wacko premise of the OP. BUT, one can see the original argument by the OP is showing its true colors hw/the exchange we are having here. Granting woman's right creates more divorce. So what. Give her the right to get out. Maybe she made a bad choice marrying the dude? What's the problem? Shame in Islamic society becuase the husband is jilted. Do a better job @ your marriage. Yet, it is the woman that is misguided for not following the rules to a tee. HuH?

Just my 2 cents.

I live in Florida and no my daughters don't have the right to go out alone. They're not allowed freedoms that other girls their age have. I'm old school. My daughters are well protected from peer pressure and I intend to keep it that way. Giving them freedom, specifically allowing them date, hurts their chances of having a sustainable marriage, because I believe once you've had variety in life, you're compelled to continue down that path.

Driving a car, IMO, is okay once they're married. I can't/won't give them that freedom as long as they're single. Driving doesn't turn anyone into whores, but it is a helpful instrument. LOL.

Really, let's just examine this idiotic premise:

In family law, women’s rights are at their most unequal when compared with men’s rights.

Under the family law as applied in Saudi Arabia, not only may a male, under certain circumstances, marry up to four wives, a man can divorce a woman instantaneously, whereas a woman must satisfy the court that one of the defined “causes” is met. The causes are: failure to maintain, absence of conjugal rights, extreme cruelty, infidelity, impotence, disability and abandonment (for three years). The problem is exacerbated further by the fact that social pressures will often discourage a woman from seeking

divorce.

According to Dr ‘Abdullah bin Sultan al-Sabi‘i, a Saudi Arabian professor of psychology:

“Women fear divorce and to be without a husband and to be accused of destroying her home... She is also forced by her family into accepting the situation [of domestic violence] because marriage in our country is a tie between two families... in addition, our tribal society know each other and women fear scandals."

On divorce, women may retain custody of any children only until they reach the age of seven(for boys) and nine (for girls).

Yeah, seems to me to be a great way to treat women.

Ridiculous outfits? Please. At least they don't dress like whores. Or maybe I should say at least they're not whores. You see a girl walking by with hijab and you think poor girl? Ha ha ha. I see a slut walking by and think the same thing.

That's funny, when I see your posts I see an angry little idiot flailing about.

Yeah, I must agree that what I said was stupid. I'm sure the whole being beaten for not wearing it thing makes that an easy fashion choice for Muslim women. You know, cause that's how they roll in a society where women are treated as property.

Which apparently doesn't happen by the religious police because it's against the Quran. Oh wait, yes it does:

For example, women are vulnerable to being stopped, beaten and detained for infractions of the rules relating to dress, such as showing ankles or the face

The Quran already gives her the right to divorce. She doesn't take it 98% of the time because, believe it or not, they are treated very well by their husbands.

Interesting to say the least. What happens if they turn 18 and choose to part ways w/your authority? In FLA of course. ?? I am hoping just disownment.

Then there is the woman in Orchard Park (wife of the TV station dude). Hell of a steep drop off for the 2%. You wonder why the other 98% live in fear!
