BuffaloBill Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Faiders are bottom feeding for sure. Trent showed flashes but was not the same player after being knocked out in the cards game. My guess is that he will collect camp money and be gone.
BADOLBILZ Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 http://www.mercuryne...k-trent-edwards The Raiders golf team suddenly looks much more formidable.
billsfan_34 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Every team does this. Tell me one that doesnt?
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 They also signed Troup . Buffalo Bills West. Get Jonathon Linton next.
Marv's Neighbor Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 http://www.mercuryne...k-trent-edwards That's payback for Tom Flores & Art Powell!
RuntheDamnBall Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Calling him a star at Stanford is being charitable. The Raiders golf team suddenly looks much more formidable. Not to mention the Raiders' Dakota Fanning Appreciation Society.

CowgirlsFan Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Raiders pumping him already for Bills info for the game this year.
RuntheDamnBall Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Raiders pumping him already for Bills info for the game this year. That sounds about right for the Raiders.
Nick the Greek Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 The legend of Captain Checkdown lives on!
Kkspike Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Jim Plunkett sucked when he played for New England then went to the Raiders and won a Super Bowl.
oman128 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I was in the Buffalo Airport waiting for my flight back to Orlando about 5 or 6 years ago when Trent Edwards was blasted in the back field by the Arizona Cardinals safety and he was never the same quarterback ever again. The Bills were got there first loss that day i think, and many more to follow after that.
Charles Romes Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 RJ and JP also passed through Oakland before fading out of the league for good.

I will never let that hit be used as an excuse, and will contest it every time I see it posted. It's revisionist. Edited January 3, 2014 by Marauder'sMicro

It's revisionist. That's right. He was already a relentless checkdown machine before he took that helmet to the chin. It's not just a matter of getting more snaps for most QB's.......you can't cover up the weaknesses of a QB for very long........they MUST be corrected......or NFL DC's will identify them and turn you from Trent Edwards to Trend Downwards in a hurry.

You can be a great QB and not known as a deep ball QB. Montana and any other West Coast O QB relied heavily short and intermediate slants, drags, and zone flood rollouts. Edwards was looking very capable in a wide and conservative system. However, he was gunshy after multiple concussions between the Arizona and San Diego games.
