JinVA Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Panic, Allmans and the Mule!! Still not sure if I could handle the headaches that come along with events of this size.
#41 Posted January 19, 2005 Author Posted January 19, 2005 Wondering how they're doing to split the Panic shows. Maybe a late-night one on one of the big stages? A buddy of mine caught Primus late-night under the stars and said it was all that. Hope the weather holds up.
udonkey Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Looks like a pretty kick ass lineup. A buddy went last year. Perhaps I'll make the trip with him in June.
stevestojan Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 bonnaroo ... like a laid back version of Woodstock - if you can imagine that...
BillsFanNC Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Drive By Truckers are awesome. Their last three albums "Sothern Rock Opera" "Decoration Day" and "Dirty South" are all phenomenal.
JLO Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Karl Denson and Particle alone are worth the price of admission, seen them out here in L.A. a bunch of times, never a letdown.
#41 Posted January 19, 2005 Author Posted January 19, 2005 I'm willing to say that the Dead won't be there, but Ratdog and Phil Lesh & Friends might. Sorta might eliminate them from a big headliner spot. Steve Molitz from Particle was pretty studly when I caught Phil & Friends last month. That group (Chris Robinson, Barry Sless, John Molo, Jimmy Herring, Molitz, & Phil) would be great @ Bonnaroo.
PhilsBills Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Toots and The Gourds make it worth it IMO. Toots puts on a phenomenal show, but I'd rather see him in a smaller venue w/o 100k people around....
RuntheDamnBall Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 M. Ward is one of the best and brightest new musicians going right now. Think John Fahey, Tom Waits and beyond. Lots of other good acts on there. Really like Iron & Wine, Toots and Modest Mouse. Might stay away from all the hippies, though. I prefer people who bathe.

stevestojan Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 $146 per ticket? That is a STEAL... wow.. if i could find someone to go to Tenn with me, I'd be in...
Just Jack Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 $146 per ticket? That is a STEAL... wow.. if i could find someone to go to Tenn with me, I'd be in... 211764[/snapback] I'd like to find out if they want volunteers for workers. That's how I got into Woodstock 99. Even got to go up on stage while the performers were on.
